Do you guys see a problem running a JWT ECU tuned for 370 injectors, stock MAF, and 4 psi boost on a car without the turbo in yet. I bought the car from a guy I work with who was in the middle of his install but he had to sell before he got the set-up in. The 370 injectors are in and it has a cold air intake.

I bought all the turbo parts but don't want to finish the install before I get another car to be my daily driver. I have noticed that this car doesn't get as good gas mileage as my other 240 and have heard that JWT run rich. But other than that it runs great. I don't drive it very hard.

I could possibly swap ECU's with my other 95 (might have to modify the wiring) or I could send the JWT back and have it reprogrammed for no turbo untill I get ready to do the install. Which won't be for a couple years.

Anyway, I just wanted ya'll's opinions on if I should do anything or just leave it alone.

Thanks for the input

You could most like get another ECU for dirt cheap on our Buy/Sell forums here at NICO. Just post a "WTB" for an ECU, I'm sure someone has one around. Running the car with an ECU tuned for different size injectors probably isn't a real good idea, especially since you can probably get the right ECU for very little $$$.

Thanks for the reply.

The 370 injectors are currently in the car right now and the ECU is set-up to run those. I haven't been able to tell a difference between this car and my other, but if you still think that I should get another ECU I probably will look into it.

I know of someone who ran 50lb injectors with a Cobra MAF JWT ECU and ran it on a NA car for years with no problems. And essentially it should not really pose any problems as even with larger injectors, the actual fuel delivered will be based on teh mass flow of air. Since the airflow itself hasn't changed the ECU would still deliver a similar amount of fuel...
