Well, aside from the rest of today being pretty darn depressing, i installed my JWT ECU today.

Hard to tell (yet) what difference it makes, I'll get a better feel for it tomorrow on the drive to/from work.

Does anyone know if it takes a while for the car to "adjust" to the new ECU?

Anyway, I now have a 94-95 non-TCS, Federal Q ECU for sale. :)

see my posts in the maintenance infiniti thread about 2 months ago....the JWT only works after 3,000rpm (as per Q45tech) and you can feel a little difference, but not what like you would think for $600+ bucks....The engine sounds meaner which was the first thing that I noticed...but otherwise you really don't feel that big of a difference except when you are close to redline as this is where I noticed the difference the most.

I agree with Rob, my car felt ok with the ecu but nothing special, it does have a learning curve so drive it hard, do some full throttle take offs as well, this is per AAACOMP

also...I saw in a post somewhere...but I don't think it was here at NICO where somebody installed a thing that leans out the A/F mixture on their 94 Q and got an additional 30rwhp....but I can't for the "desire of more speed" remember what forum this was posted. They installed a new MAF sensor system I think becuase the old one was shot causing the car to run too rich or something like that......

The G-Force chip actually runs a bit leaner than the JWT, but does not remove the redline nor the speedcut.

being MIA is becuase of several things......

work...traveling again a lot as I am leaving for Acapulco this Friday and returning late Sunday during LaborDay weekend. I was only suppose to leave on Tuesday next week, but now I am leaving earlier to all for business

Q45....have not decided on what to do with it yet...whether continue the mods or to end the madness. I need to get it back into the shop for a squeaky suspension problem, exhaust gasket leak, and a general 30K tune-up and wish I had the time to take it up to T3 to do all the work and give it a good look over for anything else preventative maintenance wise.

TV....I am on a singles on South Beach TV show that is airing right this minute on the We (womans) network....airs at 10pm and 1am eastern time every Sunday. My friend of a friend hooked me up with this DJ chic that needed a date for this show so I said what the hell and did two episodes of the show with this chic that I had only met once out before at the clubs....the show is totally rigged and they make you look like what ever they want to on the show...we had to redo the scenes about 5 times here and there becuase there was not enough interaction between me and this chic and they wanted some action....Uggh!!! This chic is what you call a "nice girl" which we all guys know that means she is not all that....nice yes, but no hotty and nothing I would ever date or even hook up with for one night. We did it as just friends, but the producer changed it all around to make it look as if we were together....my recently new girlfriend did not know I was on this show tapped back in February and just called to ***** me out asking what the hell this was all about...what a pain in the a$$ explaining that one to her....hell I had the girl that I did the show with call her up to explain everything that it was all a setup and that nothing happened between us...Ugghh!!!! Well check it out if you like....it is on te We (womans entertainment network) on Sundays from 10pm & 1am eastern time on Sundays.....I can only imagine what kind of trouble I will be getting myself into next.....

Since the 95 gearing doesn't need to shift out of 2nd to complete a quarter mile run [as it will already do 97-98 mph at stock redline], I wouldn't expect more than 0.3 seconds improvement in an A/B swap between ecu. But you can turn 57 mph in 1st gear at 7300 rpm vs my 54 mph [1990-93 with JWT ecu].

Most make the mistake of not just setting the tranmission in 2nd and holding on till the timing lights are past.

As we have discussed previously the WOT program [in stock or JWT ecu] is only adaptive in that the program will respond to changes in MAF voltages. INSTANTLY no delay to learn something that constantly changes.

Azhitman has the 4.08 so he will be doing the 2-3 shift before the end of the run.....as I did several runs back to back both with and without the 4.08...there is very little difference. Running with the 4.08 gives me 0.1 secs more (14.6 vs. 14.7) and 3 mph less (97 vs. 94)....see my time slip thread. Greg....looking forward to hearing how well your car does on the time slips.

There is nothing worse than not knowing you are on TV and having your new ( within last month) Cubanita girlfriend calling you up asking WTF with my a$$ on some singles TV show for less than 5 minutes wiith some chick that I don't give 2 cents about and just doing becuase she/my friend/the show needed some extra drama into the series....Uggh!!!! and all this was in done in the past (February) before we met and she is still really pissed just to see me hang out with a not so attractive chick as she says it makes her look bad.......

btw....my new girl is not exactly what you would call...."street racing friendly". She would not let me race a nice little S4 Audi that was giving it to me all the way down i-95 saturday night....it drove me nuts to listen to her as I had not had a good race in 2+ weeks, the road was wide open, and this guy was giving it to me for about 2 miles keeping right along side of me just wanting to go at it.....my last girl loved street racing, but this one hates it with a passion. I guess before I go and get another girl I will need to prescreen them for "street racing friendliness" so I don't have to deal with that again.

They make an excellant drug for sex offenders that solves all those boy/girl problems and saves multi thousands of date dollars.........you do gain a little weight however.http://www.petpeoplesplace.com/News/025.htm

Oh back to 4.083 in a 95 ~~811 rpm in 2nd per 10 mph........yep 89 mph max in 2nd gear so the 2>3rd shift. Well zero to 80 ought to improve almost the same 0.3 secs.

Still waiting for members to adopt nitrous.

Mine doesn't like my driving habits sometimes either, but what the hell - I'm behind the wheel - not her. And the pouting is quiet at least. Silence... ahhh... :D

just a word of advice...these real life tv shows are rigged so much...or at least this one was. I did not meet her on the internet...I met her through a friend of a friend while I was doing the usual....clubbing...and then my friend calls me up about a month later saying...hey...remember that chick from about 1 month ago I introduced you to....she needs a date for a reality tv show...so of course I say sure why the hell not so they set me up on this show to compete against this other guy for her at the club where she is spinning that night. They wanted 2 guys to fight for her so I took control and danced with her for the entire evening while the other guy stood off and watched and got pissed (by the way he is some bigge lawyer her in Miami, but who cares). Anyway...she got some crazy idea in her head that I was getting into her wanting to sleep with her and so the drama begins about her choosing me over this other guy even though she has already f_cked this other guy...the producers loved all the drama and thought it was real funny setting me up against this other guy to see who could win her over. I am on the show one more time with her and I dancing again at some pool side spreakbreak party where KidRock and TommyLee were partying with everyone and I am in my work clothes dancing along all the college kids in there bathing suits. They literally put words in our mouths when we had to give personal thoughts about the other...such as at the end they asked me "what are you and steph going to do after this"...I replied "we will talk for some more over a drink and then I am going home"...the camera guy instantly cuts the tape and says...no we want to hear that you are going to take her home and f_ck her....so in a matter of words that is what I said on camera after doing the retapping. It was fun to do it at the time, but now I am like....WTF did I do? Now my new girlfriend is really pissed as she had 4 calls last night from friends telling her that her man was on TV with another girl....what a pain in the a$$...but I am getting some good laughs out of it.

btw...I thought she was 36???? I guess I am going to have to make a few phone calls to get her number again as we have not talked nor seen eachother since May/June. My friends called me last week to tell me I was going to be on TV the next week as they saw a preview as I don't have any producer contact info and I want to hookup with 2 of the girls on the show as they are more my type and I never met anybody else that was on the show when we did the tapping last winter/spring.

I hope my posting that didn't bother you, I just found it funny, we got your (truthful) version, then I went to see what they (TV does not equal truth) said.

Oh, any person that knows her and called her to tell her "I saw your man on TV with another woman is an absolute simpleton :bash.

rex...i am not at all concerned about the whole thing as I am getting some good laughs from friends who saw me on tv last night and I told my girl to get over it as it was all just for fun and is now 6 months old.....

steph is a real nice sweet girl and can spin a few mean house/trance dj sets and has been spinning at some very popular clubs on Sobe, but she is not the kind of girl I am attracted to and she did not like being stuck in the "friend zone"

Wow... you may just actually make me tune in to that network. The power of NICO. Any rebroadcasts scheduled? Most importantly, did the Q make it on the show??
