Hey guys, while trying to find some parts for my latest project, i stumbled upon these. I recall earlier posts where folks were asking for ways to get extra ponies for the A/C or A/S... if you have the VQ35DE and you've got a grand or more to burn, these will help you out... This plus an intake, and exhaust would get you that much closer to that 300HP mark that some of you were trying to get. Hope this helps!

Ooh...new billet camshafts. The price tag is

You could pick up one of those "turbo noise makers" for about $20 on eBay which is a fraction of the cost. I'm sure those are good for at least 10bhp each.

camshafts are too much for me to install with the winter right now. Got to wait for the summer .but the problem with them is that you get rough idles and ECU errors sometimes. but I'd be willing to try them out after the turbo kit is installed

Nismo has had a set out for a couple years now. They are considerably more expensive though. If you've ever driven a car with JWT cams, you should know that it would cause immediate pant wetting. Imagine that in the VQ.

That means that if one were to purchase this set of cam, he/she would also need one of those "Wet Butt" seat covers from Hawaii.

Tyler, excuse my ignorance on this issue, but what do you mean by pants wetting?

You surely must know the feeling of extreme joy when driving a car that is all that you've imagined and then some It was a figure of speech. I don't actually wet my pants when I drive the coupe

Ok, I thought it was some type of dysphemism.. as in the idle from the camshafts was so bad it made you wet your pants, ya know... didn't know if the allusion was to something positive or negative.. thanks!

I'll have to read it again when i'm awake to understand it clearly it said performance cams will run at a rougher idle, is it because it was optimized for higher RPMs?

im pretty sure that even though that these say they are for the VQ35DE, they will not fit into our motors.

Not sure how many of you guys know this or not, but the VQ35DE that is in the 07+ V6 altimas, both the sedan and coupe, are using HR heads. so with that said i dont think the old VQ35DE cams will fit into the heads in our motors.

one thing to note though, from the previous version of our motors, the intake cam is advanced 2 degrees more, which in turn allows us to make 270hp and have a slightly better top end.

you're right, I should have posted a disclaimer saying that this may or may not fit our VQ. I know some mods had occurred to our version of the VQ, just wasn't sure if the mods would affect this or not. In any case, I don't think this is a mod most folks would be doing anyway, but some of you folks are horse power hungry and I'm just trying to hep feed the horses! lol

well whenever the cams do come out for our VQ, i plan on purchasing a set for mine.
