Power between 4 and 7 grand is amazing. I'm going to dyno again next week to see what kind of power they made.

sweet, good for you. Its amazing how much top end there is after installing those cams huh?I like mine but I did notice some low end loss (I expected it though). It makes your torque peak hit really hard now with those cams i bet.BTW, whats your vacuum at idle like?

^18- 20hg's. yeah, I did lose some bottom end, but the power gained up high makes up for the loss.

Good stuff man, keep us updated! I'd like to see the dyno chart...Ryan, what's your idle at? Jeff in Tampa has the JWT cams and ECU and can't idle less than 1900rpm. He's confident it's the ECU. I'm sure it's a combo of the cams and bad ECU tuning.

^^^ But bear in mind that duration cannot be compared to Nissan OEM specs...JWT measures them differently.

By the Nissan temrinology (i.e. 240 intake, 248 exhaust, etc...) JWT cams are more like 256/256.

Just FYI...they are not as wild as they look, but they are a great cam for the KA.

Thats exactly what I was think Bri, I was actually talking to Scotty240 about this awhile back. 275 cams would definitly require cam gears to avoid a ton of overlap. For street I wouldn't go much past 264, unless your going to rev the ****e out of the motor to use the higher RPMs.

even the jwt cams as teysit require cam gears ro remove the overlap. Those cams are desgned for all motor anyway. The overlap causes the cranking comp to be lower than it should be--i.e.--an 8.5:1 motor should be around 165--it ends up being like 130-140.Jwt even recommends cam gears.I like the crowers--250/250's and theya re turbo grinds--heh and only 400 to boot-no regrinds, no cores--400 bucks outright. Im getting them.

I guess since Jesse thrust me into here, I'll reply. When I first put it back together, the car idled like a champ. 1000rpm, and right where I wanted it.Then it walked up, so I changed out IACVs. Worked another 3 days, and back up it went. The car cold idles at 1000, then when warmed up, it jumps to 1500, and walks to 1700-1900.It could be a coolant temp sensor issue, with my water temp gauge fluctuating.. or my thermostat could be stuck, and then my idle issue is still unknown.-Jeff

jeff, definitely check your one of your water temp sensors. I thought one was for the gauge and one was for the ecu. check your connections for sure.
