I just installed the JWT popcharger with the Z-tube. My question to all of you who have one is the following. Is there an actual HP gain by replacing the stock tube to the Z tube? I noticed the original tube having a weird long piece at the bottom but I don't think that should make much difference. If any of you have some type of way of testing this I would greatly appreciate it as I am thinking of placing stock tube back. Thank you all who read this post. I also want to congrants all of you as you make it super interesting for me every day that I visit this site. Fabian Brownsville04 Coupe

Is there an actual gain? If there is, only very small, I'd say 1-2 HP, nothing noticeable. That weird long piece you saw is a baffle which makes the intake noise quieter, however, it creates turbulance within the intake, and turbulance isn't wanted. You want it as streamlined as possible to get maximum flow.

Glad you like us here!

Smockers is 100% correct. There will be no real noticeable gain. However, if you want the true effect of the JWT "sound" and maximum hp gains, stick with the Ztube and don't put the ogiginal back on.

Thank you for your super fast responses!!! I noticed the first response early in the morning but was waiting to see if anyone else would post. I just talked to my neighbor who is a mechanic and he explained to me a bit more how that long piece on the tube actually works. He explained that it becomes like a vacuum that pulls the air into it and removes quite a bit from the path to the motor. He also let me know that it looks meaner with it and I should not put it back. I will not put it back but just wanted a bit more info on why I should not. Once again, thank you for your super fast responses. If anyone else wants to post a more technical response go ahead as all who read this post would benefit.

The JWT POP charger with the z-tube should give you about 6.5+ HP just to the wheels. However, this product is more for sound than performance in HP...it prob wont be a great difference in HP but it never hurts to add a little more like it does...hope it sounds good i still have yet to order mine!!!

Throw on a 5/16s spacer, and you should see some power!

Can you please explain what is the spacer and if possible even place a picture to help me figure out where it goes? Thanks a million.

Fabian P.S.Pricing also.
