I got the passenger side turbo out and the turbine housing has a pool of burnt oil and the shaft has play, but no rubbing on the housing. I suspect the drivers side to be the same.

I called JWT and they wanted more than I can spend to rebuild the two. Does anyone on here have any experience with rebuilding these turbos? I there a rebuild kit? JWT says they don't sell a rebuild kit, but maybe someone on here has a hookup???

This is a .040 over built motor with forged pistons. It would be a shame to to put oem snails on it. The motor is strong. With zero boost and little effort, it will lay 245 wide marks on tarmac from a 20mph roll. I'm still hoping someone can hook me up with a rebuild kit for these.

Thanks for looking out though...

Call up Majestic Turbo, they do rebuilds and are very fair.

But if you are building an engine I would flip for some upgraded turbos. T28R's are a nice cheap upgrade, a little laggier but for the money it's an "okay" upgrade. Sport 500's would be the next jump above that and then onto the big guns (aka, Sport 500's, 550 ball bearings, Sport 600, GT25R's, disco potatoes, etc.) if you got the coin.
