Will JVC KW-XR610 fit in my 2010 Versa and do you recommend it? I am looking for a 2-DIN on a budget. After all, that is why I bought my car without a radio (to save cost).

Yes any double din will fit. I just installed my Alpine IXA-W404 without any issues.

Do I need a dash installation kit for it (there is no previous radio)? Best Buy told me I had to order that part online for them to install it for me. I was hoping to avoid that with getting a 2-din. I know I need a wiring harness and an antenna adapter.

Yes I believe you do need that kit. It's about 14-20 dollars on the internet. Part number 99-7603. I had to get one when I put my radio in. Didn't have the harness though so had to wire it myself.. (don't recommend it) ..

If you are installing a double-din, you don't NEED a dash kit but there will be a small gap around the deck that's filled in by a single trim piece that you can't seem to buy by itself. I had to buy the whole $15 or whatever dash kit that was labeled single-din and double-din. The double-din "kit" is just that freakin trim piece. The double-din bolts onto the brackets that held on the stock radio. Unless you have the 1.6 without a radio from the factory. Then I have no idea if those have brackets or not already. If not, you'll need to get those along with the screws to attach the brackets to the dash from a dealership or a junkyard Versa. The double-din will come with screws to attach the double-din to the brackets.
