Ive always felt that your engine is WAYYY to nice for your poor front bumper fitment, they just don't match, but other than that the car is amazing. Its sagging and it needs a lip and the lights are a weird color that make them look like they aren't in there, i think i like the amber ones better, but they wouldn't have matched your smoked out look i know. But the engine looks really clean! I like the pink too cause its your girls car isn't it? Otherwise a tad too much but to each their own. I like the custom interior too but the shift boot for the automatic made me LOL. Did you put your glovebox back in or do you just not use yours? Looking good though i'm jealous. Keep up the good work!

it' was pretty much a car to get in and do anything really.

as far as the cost into it. there is way to much money into it that i don't even want to say.but besides exterior stuff, anything that could be done to the car has been changed, any and every suspension peice, every bushing, has been replaced, so it all ads up. the money into the swap it's self i would bet is about 6K? just to get it running.
zach-Ka wrote:I like the pink. Whats your overall review of the jz in the coupe?Like drivability reliability etc,
Thanks,

Reliability as far as the motor goes has been great, we only have about 600-700 miles on the car since completion, and it has ran great so far. we got a weak trans so we are going to be putting in a new one (they cost about $100 around here) and the us turbo's we put on the car smoke on decel, so that will need to be fixed (which was planned anyway) So it seems to be ok. The motor is mostly stock really (intake, exhaust, downpipe, bov, boost controller, afc neo)

the driveability of the car is pretty damn good. The car hooks pretty hard on the 225 drag radial's except for last weekend when it was about 27 degrees out, and the car spun the tires getting into it at 50+ mph.You can feel a little more weight in the front of the car slowing down from higher speeds so it will need some braking attention before going to Road America this spring.

eh, it's nothing ALL that special...i mean it's very subtle compaired to broadfields car and many others out there. the pink that is on the car is pretty much all that is going on it, besides well going single turbo the car will be getting pink intercooler couplers.

HaHaHa, yeah your not the only one that thinks that. the car was in a accident to the front right of the car, making the car not want to line up very well. This problem will be getting fixed over winter (new coresupport) and throwing the car on a straightening machine to fix any other problems with the car not lining up. I too am kind of torn with the front lights, we were going for a "smoked" look with the car, and i'm just not real sure if i like the way those bumper lights look either, but they will be going away with a possible sil front in the future. as far as the interior i think it turned out pretty well, we did that spray paint carpet stuff and it turned out ok, The center 5spd console came out of our parts car so she re did it with a differant fabric cause a stock auto shifter looks so gay now it doesn't look as bad. The glovebox is now in the car i took that pic a few weeks ago, the glove box now houses the boost controller. Thanks again.

Yeah, that will be done as well. hence the single turbo kit, it gives room to run heater hoses.

Thanks, we tried to keep it as clean as possible no honda hacking here.

Oh, and before anyone say's it.

there is a 1" sway bar spacer so the sway bar doesn't rub the oil pan, but if we have the car any lower then it is it will rub the larger sway bars, so we can't go any lower as of now.....

Thanks,

the body needs attention, but it's 100% solid and rust free so that's a plus.

The taillights on the car are now the stock ones. We have been pulled over 5 or 6 times in the last 2 years for the tail's being too dim. so we put the stockers on so we didn't get pulled over anymore or get rearended.

car is staying automatic.
OutToWinPAHC wrote:I'd like to see it with a R154 or Th400
yeah, there is a small chance of putting a Th400 in the car, just unsure how it would be on the freeway, do to the fact the car has to make a 50+ mile 1 way trip to each others house. so the freeway might not be much fun.

If you get some LEDs for the tails then you wont have to worry about that, whenever you take the car out drive with the running lights on so they are always lit. I smoked the crap out of my GTP tails and you could see them just fine with VHT, food for thought.

I have to ask why autotragic?

we ran some LED lights from Autozone and if anything it almost made things worse. the red/clear tails don't have any refective peices on the lights so the led light's just create 2 little dots. it sucks, maybei will look into doing a custom led setup.

As for the auto. well we wanted something a little differant, something you could just get in and run down, something that is easy to drive. and something that is easy to fix/buy/rebuild. and to prove to the majority of the import kids by us that automatics can be fast and fun, and when you have mid-high 300 tq the car will still go sideways even on a dragradial so it could still drift if we wanted it too. lol.

it's a boss hub, it will most likely be removed this winter in favor of a NRG short hub and a quick release.

Matt - Yeah, it's most likely slow compaired to your car.

Myfirst240 - All that makes the car "cool" is the motor and suspension besides that nothing to crazy lol.

Car has a decent set of mods, but the mexican fitment and stance just kill it. I would seriously rid yourself of the larger sway bar and get this cars' stance proper.

we are planning a pretty small. Gt35R turbo so clearance won't be any issue. i've seen people run T78's pretty easy. I think the only time you start getting clearance issues are when you go with a T6 manifold, but thats overkill.
