Are you doing this stuff on the street? Cuz...that's illegal

Now, why would one feel the need to race another car of the same model? Just give the 'knowing nod', and be on your way...with the satisfaction that there are other quite intelligent people out there with extraordinary taste such as yourself.

"Pardon me, do you have any grey poupon?"

Too late. Street racing automatically makes you one.

No offense, but are you man enough to take it to the track?

If so, then do it. In fact, I drive a G - I'll be glad to let you stare at my taillights all day.

Don't be an assclown on the road. CA drivers are bad enough without adding yet ANOTHER n00b who thinks he can drive, endangering everyone on the road, just so he can get his little pee-pee hard.

No need to get all deferential... quit with the titles. My name is Greg.

It's not uncommon to run across someone on a forum who's lost a loved one to an accident caused by some chump street racing.

Just saving you some embarrassment.

Anyone see the first Transformers? When the girl steals the signal from the government and takes it to the house and they're playing DDR. Yeah, that was that right there.

LOL Smockey

To the op Yes it is a smart move to take it to the track. Most G owners don't street race becuase they are not there to prove if they are faster. They are there to get from A to B in one pc and in style. You'll find G owners carving the corners more than going fast in straight lines. More fun too.

For me I know my car is decently fast so I usually drive pretty slow. I'd be one of those that gives you a nod or throw up a deuce.

Most people are against street racing (well mature anyways) and take it to a track!

We'd rarther see you continue to post for the years to come then end up dead or in a wheelchair!

Be safe!

I would probably race you if you were at the light next to me and it was a weekend morning and the road was straight and there were no houses or business's on either side of the road and I knew that there were no other cars coming the opposite direction for at least 10 miles and oh wait that situation would never happen.

Racing at the track cost $20 in Phoenix and you can race as many times as you want from 7pm-midnight and sometimes even later then midnight.

Racing on the street cost you your license, garnishment of your salary to the kin of the victims ect

That being said I sometimes catch myself going cross walk to cross walk with other cars. Its hard man you have a 300+hp racecar just aching to be pushed faster and faster. The freeway is even worse... I have to keep an eye on the speedometer or I find myself going 100+

Some of us OLDER members have done stupid things in the past....were very lucky.....and had friends that were not so lucky.

The regrets/insight that we have now compel us OLDER members to educate the younger members on what could/does happen.

The other awesome part of track racing is once you finish your 1/4 mile run you get a slip that shows how fast your car was and what you beat.

You don't get that on the street, lots of street racing videos have the honk three times and go or wait for the light to turn green and go. The track gives you a more accurate start so you truely know that your car is faster or slower then the car you lined up with. Driver error is a factor you can see it in the 60' and reaction time but you learn A LOT racing at the strip or road race track.

To further modivate you to take it to the track I am going to JACK YOUR THREAD SUCKA and fill it with videos of me and my G at the track!

I was re-baptised in March and am a completely different person now.

Job 31:1

1 "I made a covenant with my eyes not to look lustfully at a girl.

Job 31:9-12 9 "If my heart has been enticed by a woman, or if I have lurked at my neighbor's door,

10 then may my wife grind another man's grain, and may other men sleep with her.

11 For that would have been shameful, a sin to be judged.

12 It is a fire that burns to Destruction [a] ; it would have uprooted my harvest.

Amen, it's about time we had a little holy water spilling over the forum...

"You have heard that it was said, `Do not commit adultery.' But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. If your right eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell." MATTHEW 5 VERSES 27-29

Its tough, as men we are visually stimulated and the women in the world have been trained from a young age to be attractive. I do a pretty decent job (Job) of looking at just my wife everyday.

BUT the way I wanted to JACK this thread was with racing videos from da track...we should start a Bible/religon threat in General Chat

Got caught street racing before. It was couple of years ago! You will regret it when you get caught. I still kept the ticket to remind not to ever do it again! Now, when I pull up next to a guy that want to race.. I just let him go. His time will come. Now there is no 2nd chance...

I am not going to risk losing my G for having no brain!

The current bodied Mustang is an awesome race. If you can find a stickshift car at the track RACE IT!

350GT automatic, exhaust, intake, torque converter, BFG drag radials

SHO had been running mid 13s all night I think he broke something or the bottle was empty

Silver stick shift GT

12 second Mustang, man I would love to have one of these for the track

This dude in the Ford Focus called me out, he went up to the spotter pointed at my car and said he wanted to race me, I played with the idea of keeping the race close so he wouldn't feel so bad but then decided to teach him a lesson instead. I think I was through the traps and back in line to race again before he crossed the line.

for learning your lesson!!!

When my oldest son got busted with some pot on him, we picked him up from jail and I asked him what he had learned....He said he learned to never have more on him than he can eat!!! Yep, he got in trouble again!! He's doing much better now, but damn!!

Ever since I met my wife (Bex), it's not even an issue. I admire (like I admire a nicely-built car), but the 'attraction' is completely gone... and it's awesome.

[/jackin' your threadjack]

I will for sure!!!

IF you still have your boosted G I would love to see how bad you beat me and where the beating takes place I think the 60' would be a draw and it would be within 4 tenths in the 1/8th mile but when I grab 3rd you should be dancing down the track.

My G has almost 73k miles on it and I did not take it to the track once in 2009? When I can afford to fix or replace it I will start going back to the track but right now as a salesman I need reliable wheels so it will be a while.
