so i just had my clutch and pressure plate changed, my flywheel resurfaced. nissan had to warranty my passenger side axle, both of my control arms, one of my motor mounts was busted, and now the car drives 100 times better than what it was. the combination of all those things created a very uneasy driving experience making me think that i would prefer a different car, but now that they are all fixed, i want to drive this beast forever.

now i really cant wait to upgrade to coilovers, y-pipe, short shifter, etc.

i just wanted to share with you guys, and get your opinions on what it feels like to have a nagging problem with your car fixed.

GO!

how did you acquire so much damage? lol

anyway, after nearly toasting two rear tires I got an alignment the other day. I took a drive this afternoon on some really curvy roads in a local state park and I have to say, the sound of the VQ driving through total forest is siiiick.

How many miles/kms on the car? Thats a lot of s*** to break at once.

100,000+Kms on my car now, this is what I have replaced:

1. Driver's side wheel bearing ($208).
2. Both inner tie rods ($78 a piece).
3. Tire pressure sensor (covered under warranty a couple years back).

well here is the deal.

i was having a nagging transmission issue that the service techs could never replicate :( , so in order for them to check it they needed to pull the transmission off the car to inspect the transmissions internals. they ended up not finding anything wrong with it, so being that the car has 99k miles on it i just replaced the clutch anyways, and had the flywheel resurfaced.

but i had also taken the car to the dealer because i had a broken motor mount, and also i saw grease on my oil filter when i changed my oil and determined on my own that it came from the axle because there was grease on the axle as well.

when they pulled the subframe off to take off the transmission, i saw that the bushings on the control arms were tearing and told the service writer and the tech, so they said that it shouldnt be a problem, but i insisted that they change them because i was getting a sort of dipping/drifting feel from the front on turns, so they changed both of them.

so they changed the axle, the two control arms, and the driver side motor mount, and also gave the car an alignment. all that leads to the car driving like its brand new again. i have to get used to a thicker clutch disc once again. i just finished breaking it in, so its time to drive it a little hard now to see how it grabs under shifting.

Hey BadaBing7189, I'm not sure if it's just a reflection in your signature pic or not, but do you have window visors? If so, where'd you get them from?

indeed they are and they don't make em for our car i had to take the 4 door altima rain guards and cut em in half and glue em together to make it work they look fine on the car plus they serve a minor purpose so i figured why the hell not plus i smoke so yea had to custom make em but i must say it took like 5 minutes to do them and was rather easy :mike

i couldnt get what i wanted in time, and it probably wouldve taken a few weeks to get it, and my car was on the lift and not together, and not to mention the clutch and flywheel that i wanted costs around $1100 or so.
