Glad to here your alright dude. Remember, if your going to total the car, there has to be a component in ever spot of the car before insurance will take it. Your can't just rip stuff off the car and leave holes. Hope everything goes well with your next vehicle choice.

Thanks for all the comfort guys. I got an INSANE amount of e-mails... Like 50 or so. I will not be responding if shipping is involved. I will also NOT be parting out the car or salvaging as I want to get the full amount from All State. For those of you who are interested... The car is sitting at Bob's Towing in Rowland Heights, CA. You guys might be able to go locally and try to pry off some parts (not right now of course... in like a month). I have not yet looked at the car since the accident as it was up-side-down so I do NOT know the condition of various parts. If you're living in SoCal... Anything within 60 miles is not too much to ask I think (at least to me LOL).

Many people have offered money for parts (and I'm not here to make a profit), so it will most likely be 50 percent of what I got them for (they're brand new).

Damn, so would have jumped on those headers.

I may be interested in the brakes, and definitely in the exhaust.

If you are able to give away the exhaust, yes definitely. If not then I would need to know a price. On the brakes no, but if nobody else takes them by the beginning of October then yes

Lol... When it comes to money... People are flaky :P I don't really care about the money, I just want the parts gone!!! RAWR Anyone want to take the rest of the stuff off me? In one trip.

So... I just got into my Mazda 6 rental... And it really sucked . According to my claims adjuster, I might be getting around $21k... Perhaps even more if I'm lucky. This has substantially freed up my range of vehicles and they are as follows:

Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart (twin-clutch 6)Nissan Altima sedan 3.5 SE (cvt)Subaru Impreza WRX (5 mt)

Anyone have other suggestions? Sub $30k of course...

I would suggest getting a used 335i and chip it, you can find one for just under 30k ( this is what I plan on doing next spring lol)

Lol... Buying a used BMW? I do not wish to part with my well-insured money. Beside, I don't buy used cars, period.

from your choices i say get the lancer ralliart..pretty rare where i live at-ive yet to see one-..i like them alot and was deciding between that and my coupe so i guess im kinda biased to choose that but yea if your not looking for a 4 door you should also look into:

the hyundai genesis coupe orrrr the new camaro/mustang..but it looks like your looking for imports but if you dont mind going american you should look at those two also

Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart (twin-clutch 6) -- s***ty quality interiorNissan Altima sedan 3.5 SE (cvt) -- too big of a ride for meSubaru Impreza WRX (5 mt) -- worse drive than the lancer according to reviews

Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart (twin-clutch 6) -- imo probably the car with most fun factor for drivingNissan Altima sedan 3.5 SE (cvt) -- most lux of the 3?Subaru Impreza WRX (5 mt) -- quality interior compared to the other 2

I'd go with either the Lancer or the WRX, depending on what you're looking for in a car.

I am particularly looking for four-doors this time around. I WAS biased against domestic and the day I got my rental, the pick-up was the new Dodge Charger V6... Well, apart from the performance and handling (didn't get to drive it)... The interior's about five years ago, I'd safely say. When I had my Nissan, I was only content with it, not overly excited but getting into different cars has made me like my coupe even more lol!

The Mitsu and Sub have mixed reviews regarding to which one's better. I just saw a video from Edmunds that said the WRX was better. And on the paper, it looks better as well (lighter / more horses / slightly less torque / better engine type / better transmission layout). The sedan has dual exhausts too! BUT the Lancer is just soooo SEXY!! Love the look. My initial thought was to go the Lancer GTS 2.4 L route but then I found out it was plagued by the same PZEV regulation as out 2.5 S coupes... I don't want to pay for the loss of power (seven horses at the crank to be exact). I know people will say oh... Get a muffler shop to remove the extra cat... Nah... I like to keep stuff legit while being modded out.

Pontiac G8 if that is a possibility. That car is amazing. I really hope Chevy moves that model to their stable since Pontiac is going out of business. If that car was out when I was in the market I would have gotten that.I tried(and failed) to convince my Dad to get a g8 when he needed a new car but he wanted an SUV since hes a big guy.

It's a great car because it's built by Holden in Australia! Great car, beats the 4 door altima in Power, Interior, and ride

Out of your three choices I would pick the Suby. I have a friend with the Lancer, and a friend who had the Subaru and I think the Subaru is an overall better ride. Especially if you're worried about the others in your car. Subaru definitely has a better interior layout

The G8 GXP isnt worth it IMO.. the GT is around 31k with a 6.1L V8 362hp. the GXP is like 38k and the only upgrades is has are the LS3 6.2L V8 with 415hp, upgraded wheels and brembo brakes. But it is a damn sexy car...lol i love how aggressive the fenders are

I'll probably be going with a 2010 WRX in WR Blue since none of the other companies have cars in stock that I want within 200 miles. Shame on you Mitsu, Nissan, Pontiac! The Subaru happens to be local in FULLERTON as well LOL!!! Meant to be!!!

Also... Still selling parts cheap. Header / ED rear for $300 picked up anyone?
