from your choices i say get the lancer ralliart..pretty rare where i live at-ive yet to see one-..i like them alot and was deciding between that and my coupe so i guess im kinda biased to choose that but yea if your not looking for a 4 door you should also look into:michaelthepsycho wrote:So... I just got into my Mazda 6 rental... And it really sucked . According to my claims adjuster, I might be getting around $21k... Perhaps even more if I'm lucky. This has substantially freed up my range of vehicles and they are as follows:
Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart (twin-clutch 6)Nissan Altima sedan 3.5 SE (cvt)Subaru Impreza WRX (5 mt)
Anyone have other suggestions? Sub $30k of course...
I am particularly looking for four-doors this time around. I WAS biased against domestic and the day I got my rental, the pick-up was the new Dodge Charger V6... Well, apart from the performance and handling (didn't get to drive it)... The interior's about five years ago, I'd safely say. When I had my Nissan, I was only content with it, not overly excited but getting into different cars has made me like my coupe even more lol!6SpdAltima_Coupe wrote:but yea if your not looking for a 4 door you should also look into:but if you dont mind going american you should look at those two also
The Mitsu and Sub have mixed reviews regarding to which one's better. I just saw a video from Edmunds that said the WRX was better. And on the paper, it looks better as well (lighter / more horses / slightly less torque / better engine type / better transmission layout). The sedan has dual exhausts too! BUT the Lancer is just soooo SEXY!! Love the look. My initial thought was to go the Lancer GTS 2.4 L route but then I found out it was plagued by the same PZEV regulation as out 2.5 S coupes... I don't want to pay for the loss of power (seven horses at the crank to be exact). I know people will say oh... Get a muffler shop to remove the extra cat... Nah... I like to keep stuff legit while being modded out.headhunt3r wrote:Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart (twin-clutch 6) -- imo probably the car with most fun factor for drivingNissan Altima sedan 3.5 SE (cvt) -- most lux of the 3?Subaru Impreza WRX (5 mt) -- quality interior compared to the other 2
I'd go with either the Lancer or the WRX, depending on what you're looking for in a car.
It's a great car because it's built by Holden in Australia! Great car, beats the 4 door altima in Power, Interior, and rideRmuth25 wrote:Pontiac G8 if that is a possibility. That car is amazing. I really hope Chevy moves that model to their stable since Pontiac is going out of business. If that car was out when I was in the market I would have gotten that.I tried(and failed) to convince my Dad to get a g8 when he needed a new car but he wanted an SUV since hes a big guy.
The G8 GXP isnt worth it IMO.. the GT is around 31k with a 6.1L V8 362hp. the GXP is like 38k and the only upgrades is has are the LS3 6.2L V8 with 415hp, upgraded wheels and brembo brakes. But it is a damn sexy car...lol i love how aggressive the fenders areblackteam02 wrote:the G8 looks sick!! & the G8 GXP?! DAMN! i have yet to see one of those.
au contraire, the g8 gxp is the LS3 6.2L V8 WITH A PROPER 6MT TRANSMISSION.JDRosenberg07 wrote:
