ok i plan on keeping my stock 7 spoke alloys for a while...but i would like to run a wider tire.

because i dont have a bigger rim on, or a extremly lowered car (eibach pro kit~about 1 inch drop) i didnt want to have a huge gap in my wheel well so there fore i didnt want to go with a shorter tire.

searching i came across thishttp://www.bigcustomwheels.com/info_specs.jsp

playing around with it i believe i can run 225/50-15's (my stock size now is 205/60-15)

with this combo i will be .8" wider, and roughly 1 inch taller, the taller part is nice becuase i can fill the gap a little more, but at the same time i dont believe i should have the gap that close....

i was thinking of possibly going for 225/55/15's which would be about same height as my 205's and the same width as the 225, obviously, but i dont know if its too oddball of a number to find tires...

also im going by these specs for stock rims 15x7 40mm offsetplease let me know if im thinking wrong or if i have something mistaking here please!

thanks!

Well, like you mentioned, you can play around with different sizes until you get the diameter you want in the width you want only to find that that tire size really doesn't exist... 225/50/15's will be significantly shorter than your current 205/60/15's, probably not a good idea. The 225/55/15 is a great idea, only there really aren't tires available in that size... 215/60's would give you a slightly taller tire and has a large number of different tires available.

Those look like pretty much your only options for that wheel, hope that helps!
