Well its the 1st AWD vehicle Ive driven before and Im pretty impressed. My pops left the Windstar a the dealer and came to pick up my mom to do some shopping. He let me drive it by myself until she got dressed. I only drove for about 10 mins, but it was pretty fun. On the way back I was hangin with a Spec V doin about 80 blastin the new DJ Clue CD. We ran up on this Lexus Rx(I think) and passed him on the left. When I got to my driveway the V flashed his beams at me and sped off. A great time indeed. Im hopin he'll bring an FX 35 home next. We'll probably get the Murano cuz they say the FX is too expensive. Oh well either 1 is good enough.

Nah! Never heard of transmission probs. It ran smooth and accelerated nicely. I guess if there were any transmission probs it would be cavered under warrantee.

Yea, well I just got done playing with a Maxima on my way home. We were flying on some backroads. Needless to say I was leaving him in the dust whenever I felt like it, but I doubt he was trying as hard as he could have. But, I wasn't either, so....But yea, thats cool about the Murano. I didn't know those were having transmission probs?

3rd gen, not sure exactly. It was a DOHC one though I'm *pretty* sure. The '89-90's were the same body basically as the 91-94's, just SOHC's right? I am guessing this one was a DOHC cause of the wheels on it....

And I am in no way saying my car is faster than his, just better in the twisties. :)

Probably right on the handling thing. The Max is a fun car though. We've got 2 of them.

No doubt about the fun-factor in a Max. Two of my friends also have 3rd gen Max's, both 5spds. I LOVE driving them, they are very strong. One of them has 160k some odd miles and runs low/flat 15's all day. Has a conefilter and y-pipe. Its quick!

I wish my moms 95 wasnt auto and had like almost 300,000 on it with no repairs made yet. Wej ust got the transmission flushed for the 1st time about 2 or 3 weeks ago. Im supposed to get it when we get the Murano or FX, but I dont really want it. I beat the hell out it every time Im in it(redline, neutral drops, spinnin tires, and all kinds road driving) in hopes that itll die on me, but the good ol nissan aint goin out like that. When it doesnt work then Ill probably get a new car. I want my dads 95 instead. Its white, auto, w/15in. cheap but decent rims and 225,000 on it. It hasnt been driven in a lil over a year. It needs a new wind shield, muffler, a tire and some struts. I want an S14 and hopefully Ill get it by may.

NO, NO I meant were you getting messed up by the trans. Cause it doesn't actually shift gears. Sorry for the confusion. It has that new variable tranmission. It threw my game totally off. It's weird cause when your at speed and you punch it , there is no double down. The engine just revs up and it starts to move. There is no felt gear changes. It too smooth. LOL.

Ohhhhhhhh thats what it was. Well I applaud to Nissans technology. I was wondering why when I ws movin up to 80mph then I put my foot to the floor, and there was just a smooth change. I was havin too much fun with the Spec V to let it bother me. Granted I shouldnt be driving this this thing, let alone racin around wit a Spec V with my foot to the floor, but I couldnt pass up the opportunity my father gave me. Plus its not our car. I did have a problem with figuring out how anything on the dash except the radio/CD player worked. I guess Ill figure it out when we get one. That one was Black w/black cloth seats and wood trim. I really dont like the wood though. My mom said she didnt want another black vehicle(Maxima and Windstar) so shes gonna go with the silver one. IMO the blacki s the best color for the Muranos. Plus It'll look hotter when my pops gets some rims on it. The silver is nice I guess, but wont look as nice with the rims. Oh well....Im just glad we're getting one.
