I like the ls400, but I don't understand why everyone says that the y33 interior is so crappy in comparison...go check out an anniversary edition, and compare apples to apples. I'd take my interior over my buddy's gs400 ANY day. There can be class in simplicity.Qfortyfiver wrote:although the car I test drove was a real PIECE OF SHT junker, I got a good idea of the Y33 feel and interior.
the interior was better than I thought, I like the high dash feel of it but nothing refined like a LS430-LS400. It is not even close.
the car by it self, bone stock is just "blah" but the car with the far east VIP touch is very unique and powerful. It definitely needs the VIP touch, no doubt about it.

And you're basing your judgement that the Lexus is better based on that?Qfortyfiver wrote:wow you guys wouldn't believe how dirty and slimy this q45 was.
the front bumper was definitely replaced, salvaged title, the interior was tore up and was doused with cheap cologne. The entire interior felt like he sweated all over it. It was nasty.
yuke.
and it had 110,000 miles , a salvaged title and he wanted 10,500.
Better than even jpg images on the net? Wow!Qfortyfiver wrote:although the car I test drove was a real PIECE OF SHT junker, I got a good idea of the Y33 feel and interior.

Two days on the board and you are the second member to ever make it on my ignore list in over four years here.Qfortyfiver wrote:

just because it's tore up does not mean u cannot get a good feel of the car in general.

Am I the first member? The reason I ask is because you throw out taunts and insults but never respond to retorts. I thought it was my superior logic and wit that shut you up.maxnix wrote:

But you did do it a lot faster than he did. I am not anymore.
No you really can't get a good feel for the car when it's torn up. A car that shows cosmetic abuse has probably seen mechanical abuse too. I speak from personal experience; at the dealership I work for we got a 2001 I30 on trade in bad condition, pretty well torn up. I played with it for a few days and got a feel for it. Then I went and drove the one I ended up buying, which looks brand new. It was really night and day. I'm just saying don't judge an entire series based on one bad example.Qfortyfiver wrote:

I'm gonna go look at a few more that is for sure.MattB wrote:

Quoted for truth.Jesda wrote:My suggestion is to buy a Y33 from another western state with mild climates and a lower cost of living, like Oregon. Save some money on the car itself, get a nice road trip out of it. Call it a vacation.
Although I usually disagree with your ways, That is a classic post.maxnix wrote:Better than even jpg images on the net? Wow!
Huh?
Are you an institutional shut-in that somehow got a computer?
Was this a very bad attempt of being politically correct? Seriously did you read what you typed before posting??? Honestly what race, gender or creed buys a luxury car to trash them beyond recognition. But I especially like how you said "two African-Americans of certain image (pimps)"FarFetched wrote:A lot of African-Americans like to buy Q45 and the like cars (here in Seattle) and trash them beyond recognition. When I was shopping for my Old Lady, actually waiting for papers and bank transfer, two African-Americans of certain image (pimps) showed up wanting to get a test drive (possible purchase). This way I saved the poor Q45 form immanent death. The fellow I sold Q45 to called me several times to get advice on maintenance. I think my Old Lady got in decent hands.Trashed luxury car is a sign of ignorance and indifference.Cheers!
From reading some of your previous post it seems like you keep comparing the Q45 to the LS. Here's a suggestion why don't you buy a LS and VIP style it???Qfortyfiver wrote:although the car I test drove was a real PIECE OF SHT junker, I got a good idea of the Y33 feel and interior.
