I am new to the Z scene, I have a 2004 Enthusiast with Nismo Exhaust and Injen CAI. I am looking to add the Kinetix+ Plenum and possibly headers. At what point will I need to get a reflash?

Thank you for any help you can offer.

To answer your question you do not NEED to get a re flash after those upgrades are added. However, to get maximum gains of horsepower or fuel economy or whatever your goals are a re flash would be required to tweak it. But you could run just fine on stock settings and will still get the power gains added by each. Hope this helps.

Decided to order the $800 ssv manifold instead, i like the looks and will be better for when i go forced induction. Let me know if you want the v+ for $220 shipped.

all the bolt on's available won't make enough difference to require an ecu upgrade, it might help you get the most out of your mods but not needed, if you add forced inductinn, then you NEED propper tuning

i wouldn't worry about reflash or tuning. Its expensive and doesn't show enough gain for the price. Or accurate gains to base upon either. For the price of the reflash you could put on a 50+ HP shot of nitrous. Now that would be worth it.

I don't have enough data to completely back up my opinion, but I am coming to the conclusion that a tune can be much more beneficial than anyone on the forums admits to.

The basis for my opinion comes from the last dyno day I went to. There was another 05 6mt G35 (same color even) with the revised rev-up engine. He had I/E and tune.

Our peak HP was only off by 3 HP, but his Torque was through the roof and MUCH smoother than mine. My torque was bouncing all over the place, where his was parabolic and smooth. My peak was 255, his was 270.

My G has stock exhaust and a very lightly modified intake, so we don't have a direct comparison, but there is some data that can be extrapolated.

I high resolution stand alone can do amazing things, I just don't see an off the shelf chip or replash being all that great

id always heard the main boost from a reflash comes from the manufacturers crankin the numbers down 5% or so from what theyre really configured to pump out simply for realiability / warrenty reasons.... makes sense to me that they might & that would be a decent gain but i dont know that theres any truth to it.... anyone here actually run nitrous?
