hey guys im new to the 240sx and i relaly want one, i tend to get confused when people start talking about nissan and silvia and s13 and the different engine codes, i was wondering wat a silvia is? is it just another modle of car nissan makes?

The search button is pretty small and easy to overlook, espeecially for someoen who isnt used to internet boards.

On the old board it took some PPL months just to find out we had one.

The Silvia is the Japaness version of the 240. 240 started in 89-98. The 89-94 was s13 and used KA24E single ovh cam and the KA24de duel ovh cam. 95-98 are s14 and had KA24de engines. The first years 89-90 used just the KA24e. Very good engine used in trucks,stanza, and axxess van.

dr.john... i have read a few of your posts and have been blown away by what i percieve as a fast technicaly knowledge you posses. but i am shocked and appaled to see you blunder!you said "single OVH" and "dual OVH" unless ofcourse you meant Over Valve Head.. in which case they get different engines in your part of the world as opposed to mine... (pardon me sir for i am a smartass from time to time)i do believe you meant to say Over Head Cam (OHC)-pete s
