Hey guys, doing some research on the Y33 Cima before i go all in on a buy. One of the things im looking for is a really nice sounding exhaust system, and i can't seem to find anything other than Cats. So my question is, what have you guys been using? I've seen alot of talk about custom work, which is way out of my skill and budget, so a kit would be nice to see!

Thanks in advance guys!

You know your best bet is to do some research on mufflers that soudn good on v8s. Check out youtube. then go from there. Exhaust shops dont charge all that much to make something when you are providing the mufflers of your choice.

When I finally get my tig welding on point ill be trying to do bolt on systems for both the G50 and Y33 among other things.

Im actually looking at Straight piping, and about 5 minutes after posting this my friend explained to me how its really inexpensive when no mufflers are involved.

Tell him no. Just no.

We've built a few exhaust systems for VH45 and VH41 cars, and you'll want at least a pair of small mufflers.

Best setup on your car is to come off the headers with 2.25" piping into an x-pipe, then a pair of small mufflers, then dual 2.25" all the way to the bumper.

Will still be louder than stock, with a nasty growl, and frees up a lot of power (and weight). Shouldn't be too expensive if you have a good exhaust shop nearby.

Thanks man, would you recommend the same for the V6T variant?

Azhitman,
