Have you checked for any stored codes? I have heard crank or cam position sensors causing this to happen but further diagnosis is needed.

I would say next move is to see if the problem returns and under what circumstances. If you can figure out in what situations this happens the most you can start diagnosing the problem. If it never happens again then it could be a one-time fluke incident.

Nothing to flash when replacing that sensor. And no problem, that's what we are here for. :)

Not really. I never good to start throwing parts at a truck. The only reason I mentioned the sensors is because Nissan did have bad sensors for a while on many vehicles. They went so far as to release a sensor update kit which replaced both cam and crank sensors with updated versions. My moms 2.5L Sentra quit on the side of the road with no codes. Replaced both sensors and she's back up and running. Tough call for sure.

just a update it is a lot worse now if it sits any length of time. When you put in gear it dies
