Hello,

One of my buddies had just replaced an alternator (with a duralast) that had went bad in my 94 J30, along with a new belt (dayco) & a new battery (neverstart).

Things seem to run a lot more smoothly. However, when I am below 1200 RPMs, ( 250 or so more than the idle) , the battery light dimly comes on. What could this mean?

Thanks for the help

Only use OEM Nissan alternators with the J. There are numerous threads on this website(and others) about the nightmares non-oem alternators cause.

I think he meant "Everstart" you can get those in WalMart. The OEM one is not that more expensive than the that you can from auto zone, $177 from Everything Nissan(i assume they are new) and $160 from autozone.
