Just Replaced the #4 Fuel Injector last night on my 91 240sx coupe, and the car sounded and ran better than when i got it. But today after work started the car up it sounded bad again. . Only 3 of the 4 cylinders were running, the 4th one stopped working again. When we put in the new fuel injector, should we have rubbed something on it before putting it in? Because all we did was take the old fuel injector out and put the new one in. Or is there something else to it?

no not really, i usually used some vaseline or oil to lube it up before i put it in (hehe) but sounds like one went out again. Dont worry, i had to change out like 4 of these damn things before it ran right.

The car is getting fuel and spark but it fouls the plug in #4 cylinder.

Ok so now the car wont start, we're thinking the low battery may be given off low spark so the 4th cylinder is not burning the fuel, but we dont know. could having a low battery give off low sparks? any suggestions?

I would guess that if it was because of the battery all the cylinders would have been having a bad spark, not just the one. Does it jump start?

it doesn't start at all, we charged the battery and installed a new coil, replaced all the spark plugs and still nothing.

Make sure you test for fuel and spark at the cylinders. I assume that the engine is cranking but just not catching? I suppose it could be another bad injector but I suspect a fuel delivery issue.

make sure that the o rings on the injector arent torn or else you could beleaking fuel from the rail and flooding the cylinder. Is the ecu sending the signal to fire the th injector? also be careful to check that you arent flooding your cylnder and check for gas in your oil

i agree with the guy that posted right before me...if its the same cylinder, check the signal to the injector

Leaky injector o-rings don't create a no-start situation.

Make sure your fuel pressure isn't out of whack. I had an FPR go bad a year or so ago, and it was flooding the cylinders to the point the car wouldn't start, especially after it warmed up.
