First off i'll reference the original how-to for this: http://forums.altimas.org/zerothread?id=340563

First thing i did was get a flathead screwdriver and a semi thick hand towel to wrap it around, then i started on the top right corner (where its thinnest) just as described in the original thread.

Be gentle with initial "digs" into the gap between the chrome and the grill as a the screwdriver head will cut through the towel and scratch the paint (very small scratches but still avoidable).

Once you get this top part loose I recommend using your fingers to pop out the brackets. You can wedge the screwdriver in the bottom-middle of the mustache (where its thickest) to loosen it up a bit if your fingers cant grab on initially. Your fingers will provide you better control and more power to remove the clips safely and you wont damage the paint.

Just repeat on the other side and your good-to-go!

nice; I have TTI with firefox so i forget other people dont have it.

I also removed my front license plate and noticed teh dealer mount created 2 huge drill holes on the bumper!

kinda pisses me off that they'd do that when they could have used sticky tape.

is bumperplugs.com the best place to go for fillers? has anyone bought their key hole plugs?

Just be very careful because I tried this and mine would not budge.I ended up taking off the bumper.

Even after I took off the bumper it took a lot of elbow grease...I meanA LOT of elbow grease to get them out.

Mine were REALLY tight. So don't risk it. If they seem like they are comingout....awesome....but if they seem really tight...just take off the bumperIt was really easy and I had the whole thing done in 45 mins.

WOW 45 minutes to remove all that jsut to get at the mustache. An easier solution, undo the clips oh the top of the bumper. From there you can reach in and unclip the whole grill assembly. I believe it is about 6 plstic tabs. This is much easier than removing thwe entire bumper to get to the mustache. That is if you cannot just pry them out

Nope. Tried that. The grill was too tight too. In fact even after thebumper was off and laying down in my front yard...the Grill Would NOTcome out. I had to get my wife and some tools to really put some elbowgrease into it. I was affraid that I was going to break the grill and themustache. I'm very glad I played it safe.

I kid you not...it was like mine were in with epoxy or something. Theyweren't moving.
