So, after ordering all necessary component to install my new F900BT I just realized something. Everyone on this forum I've talked to about this install stated that no dash kit was needed. Come to find out everyone that I've been in contact with on this forum has/had the nonBOSE factory HU. I've got the Touring package w/ the BOSE HU. The climate controls and radio controls are all fixed into one dash panel. 1) Is there any aftermaket dash kit for this? 2) Would getting a dash panel from a base model work? 3) Would there be issues wiring the F900 to the factory amplified system?

#1 at the present time crutchfield.com has no aftermarket kit to replace your 2009factory bose system its simply too new.

#2 getting a dash panel from a base model, no

#3 you would need a line output converter to connect an aftermarket amp.Access to your factory speaker wires will be a challenge

here's a link for the converter...http://www.crutchfield.com/p_1...=2001

I actually just put the F700 in my 350Z and I have a Bose system....Here's exactly what you need.

1. Metra makes a multi kit which includes a 1 din trim w/ a pocket and a double din trim....you will only need the double dim trim, the other pieces you can try selling.

2. Since you have a factory Bose system and I am assuming you would like to have your factory sub and speakers all to work, you will need to bypass the amplifier. The easiest way to do it is, Metra makes a wiring harness for the 350z where the front and rear speakers are RCA's not speaker wire. So then what you need to do is just hook up the 4 RCA's from the wiring harness to the Front and Rear RCA input on the Pioneer 900. This will bypass the amplifier and everything would work properly.

3. I suggest you hack you Pioneer 900. You will enjoy your 900 Navi so much more if you hack it. I suggest you go to AVIC411.com and see tutorials on how to upgrade and hack the unit.

and that's pretty much it, then you should be good to go. Let me know if you need any more help.

P.S. don't listen to a word this guy said.....^^^

I don't know why he's telling you to get a line converter when you are not even hooking up a aftermarket amp, and EVEN if you were you would use the SUB RCA on the pioneer.

Line converter's are only useful when you are hooking up an aftermarket amplifier to a STOCK deck. You are not doing that in this case, so please don't waste your money.

ok so even though i have a 370Z i can still use the double din trim for the 350Z? and also i went on the metra sight but they dont have anything for the 370Z except for antena hookups but if the 350Z is compatiable with the 370Z then i will def. go that route can you confirm that all this would work. thanks for helping me out here i know nothing about audio equipment

ahhhh sorry i didn't see you had a 370, i assumed you had a 350 my bad. Well, which 370Z do you have? does it not come stock with navi at the top of the console? If you can post a pic of your console so I can see what you got to work with.

Nope. Hosting pictures is free. Dee was cool enough to make a step by step tutorial for you guys.

I wish I had some advice, but I have been out of the audio scene for too many years.

eeee...that sucks, you are gonna have to get something custom made. I remember when I had my shop and customers would come in with problems like that, I would charge a pretty penny to make them a custom piece.

why dont you put the Navi at the top and save yourself the headaches?
