I just raced a Lancer 2002(the racing type) and a 91 CRX(intake,headers,exaust). All 3 of us raced at the same time, it was a very close race. i think the Lancer won. I couldnt tell cause we were so close maybe 3 feet in front of me. The Crx was about a foot in front of me. well i came in 3rd, i am happy cause my 240SX is only a 90 and only has an ****ty exaust and i kept up with them. Itz maybe cause i am a good driver lol. oh oh and on take off my tires were turned to the right and i didnt kno lol and i almost hit the Crx on take off lol, damn i could have won if i didnt make that mistake.
If you're talking about a drop-in filter, not much. You might see a better idle and gas mileage. As for a cone filter, those make enough power to show up on the dyno.
Drop-ins are $40-$50, depending on how well you shop.
Cone filters are usually $50 and you need an adaptor for the mass air flow sensor. Most people buy full intake systems though.
I'd just get the drop-in if I were you, it's better than nothing.

Well my car doesnt wear Pantyhoses anymore lol. I took them out. Pretty soon when i get a job imma buy a spoiler,intake,a better exaust and some headers. Well today i had my brotehrz Saturn 94 (twin cam). I raced a 90 Civic si and a 96 Integra LS, and i won in the saturn. Damn i didnt know that the Saturn was that fast lol. On wednesday hopefully we get a lot of people to race(anyone in Sacramento CA area want to join??), and hopefully someone will bring a camera so we can record it. Oh and bikes race too.
