Is not that. More like a too lean condition from a disconnected or carcked hose. How about IAC and EGR valves?

The ecu TRIES to limit idle rpm by limiting the air into engine, as the air flow increases the ecu assumes you are intentionally cracking the throttle open or have intentionally misadjusted the IAC bypass or throttle..........it can only react to what's happening.

REMEMBER WHEN THE COOLANT IS COLD NOT 174F the fast idle thermo enhanced cam comes into play to warm up fast usually 1400 rpms see graph in FSM vs coolant temp flowing thru TB.

The MAF is not very accurate at low flows so in a wide range the ecu just supplies fuel vs rpm...........enough air to run 2000 the ecu supplies enough fuel to maintain some decent AF ratio.......after all it's main job is to minimize emissions by maintaining 14.7AF however it can.

Cabernet or Chardonnay?

Better check the dilithium crystals!

Any news on the idler pulleys? IAC valve setting?
