Welcome to NICO Club!

So, I just got a 240sx and it came with 18" wheels and some slightly large tires. They kinda look nice with how they fit to the wheel well lines in the body, but looking right at them, the oem sized brakes look puny. Way small! They're even painted calipers with cross drilled and slotted (all previous owner), so they should look tough, but no, not at all. They're also bigger and wider tires, a bit heavier... so the puny looking brakes also feel puny and inadequate, like they should be upgraded to a big brake kit. You might want to consider stuffing some larger brakes and rotors in there to keep up with the larger tread you'll have. For me, I'm downsizing the wheels and tires to something more affordable and more appropriate for a handling car.

If the brakes were adequate before then they are adequate now. You don't judge brakes by how they look.
