Robert thats a great car!

Love those GLE's.It has the Bose right? In that case it should have the pre-amps in each speaker..

I copied this to our stereo forum--> look there as well.

Fred...:)

Yes it does have the active speaker (amp for each speaker) system and yes it does have the factory alarm system. One thing to remember, you should have the factory CD option, in that case when you go to replace the rear speakers, you have 6X9's and not the oversized 6.5's.

As far as the remote for your alarm... go to nissan and tell them that you need a remote and that you need it programmed to your vehicle. Im not sure how much they charge, but if and when you get it done... let us know!!!

Hope that helps bro!!!

Congrats on getting an Altima!!

the only disadvantage to the GLE model is there is no option for a 5 speed transmission.

but a friend of mine just bought a 93 gle, and the factory system does sound good for stock. I have one 10" RF punch HE powered off a 300 watt amp with JL 4" speakers in all 4 corners in my s13 and I enjoy the sound of that. Just a little bass for the techno while i autocross
