hey just puled my car out of the garage. Ran it around for awhile and it started puting on me. It kinda sounds like a sti motor, it actually sounds pretty cool. The stuggles allittle accelerating and its tough to get full boost. It also sounds like its running rich. Well put new fuel in and it wil go away and come back. At idle its a little lower at around 600. Anyhting i should consider doing.I was thinking changing the fuel filter.

something that occurs on and off?? could be a boost leak? I mean it kicks full boost, but whne the problem happens its just a little harder to get to

If your motor sounds like a STI motor you might be running on 3 cylinders. Which would account for a rich exhaust and no power.

Well one of three things is wrong if you are running on 3 cylinders...no spark, no fuel, or no compression in one of the cylinders.

Replace the spark plugs and fuel filter. Sounds like it has some varnish built up in the system.

changed the fuel filter and it now only does it if i push into higher boost, but it goes right away after awhile of driving regularly. Turning the engine off and than back on make the problem go away also

It could be a bad coil pack. Or even possibly an ignitor. Check the wiring to your ignitor, make sure none of the wires/pins have been pulled out and not making good contact.

My money is on a miss. Just curious, why did you change the fuel filter without actually diagnosing the problem? Fuel, air spark. Make sure its getting all three. While it's running, disconnect each coil pack and see if the tone of the engine changes. If it doesn't, you've narrowed it down to which cylinder. Pull the coil out, and check for spark. If it's sparking, look to the injector.
