Hello everyone, I recently joined this forum because all my research on this car led me to threads started here. I just wanted to finally share with everyone my recent purchase and new project. My FIRST 240sx!! :woot: :mike
Its a 1990 nissan 240sx hatch with a KA24de that I was able to find about 5 hours away from where I live but well worth the drive. I ended up picking it up with a clean title and for $900. Here is a list of some stuff already done to the car. Pics of engine will come soon.
Rebuilt motor with 1k on it
0.20 over bore
Port and polished head
New timing components
Sitting on tein coilovers
Adjustable Control Arms
Steel braided brake and clutch lines
Probably some more stuff I haven't realized yet. Almost no rust anywhere. Interior is pretty clean and body lines are pretty straight. I have a lot of plans for this car. My goal is to eventually drop a rb20 in it as i've never done a swap on my own. I might be over ambitious for my first 240 but i'm a painter at a bodyshop and have been around this stuff about 70% of my life. I want to get as much use out of this KA as I possible can though as it drives very well and has lots of power still.

Awesome! I started my car pretty much bone stock with a clean body like yours. You got a lot better price then me haha. But its awesome to see another painter. Painting for a bodyshop is the only way ive been able to do all the work to my car. Also i think a s13 has soo many great paint options. Any aftermarket part you could imagine for fairly cheap prices. Keep up the work and keep everyone updated. Also id say Rb25 if your not going with a sr. Rb20 seems to be too much weight for not enough power. And rb20 to rb25 prices are not that much different. Im always happy with a sr!

Can't go wrong with a running, driving, fun car with a clean title for $900!! Well done!
