Aah, Eagle RS-A's on there... good damn tires. I have them on the '00 GLE with the stock 5-spoke aluminums...

Oh yeah, nice car as well...

Damn CVT though... grr.

What?

I like their cornering ability, they don't wear too bad, they brake well, they don't hydroplane, and they don't make too much noise...

I'm not a tire expert by any means and haven't experienced the best of the best... my GXE has Eagle GT-HR's which I don't like as much as the RS-A's, and my upcoming tires (235/45R17 ContiExtremeContacts and 225/60R16 General Altimax HP's) aren't quite as high on the cool tire list as what everybody else around here drives...

Certainly nothing wrong if you like them, it's just that every other comment I've ever read about the Eagle RSA has been negative. Most of them very negative. Maxima and M guys especially have made their distaste for the tires pretty well known. They're used as OE on a WIDE variety of cars, and I've read a lot of very bad comments about the tires from owners of many different cars. Why Nissan continues to use them as OE is beyond me, especially after the recall ordeal (~2005, a large batch of 18'' Eagle RSAs were defective and eventually recalled by Goodyear, including those on Maxima SEs and certain Infinitis. Goodyear was good enough to fully reimburse customers, though).

There still aren't that many 245-45-18'' all seasons out there, so the RSAs remain common, but they're definitely among the poorer tires I've dealt with.
