Just Picked up a engine.

Hey guys my name Justin. This is my second post. Just picked up a FREE Q45 v8 VK45DE and was just looking to see what i can do with it. Been searching but havn't really found anything. If someone can piont me in the right direction that would be awesome. Im a member of turboford.net. 2.3l turbo engines. Let me know. Just have the engine. Give me some ideas. Low budget stuff.

Heh, slap the motor into something and thrash it m8, then think about more power when you start getting used to it

What did you get? Short block, long block, complete engine, ecu, wiring harness...

You're pretty much on your own. Ebay is your friend. Fabrication is also a way to get it done. Look through some of Mettler's posts and there are some sick VH builds that use distributors and 4 barrels on custom intake manifolds. If you fab your own stuff it's a good way to make it work.

Otherwise it's a lot of factory parts and a tons of money unless you score stuff at the right time.

Looks like she's going on evilbay. Don't have the time or money to look for parts. I have my other project im trying to build right now. Just didn't what this good engine to go in the dump. thanks guys.
