Just picked up a 2012 Spec V!

A great resource for Nissan Sentra, Infiniti G20, 200sx, Pulsar, NX1600, NX2000, Tsuru, Primera and Sunny owners.

Just got a 2012 SE-R Spec V and so far I really like it. I am however finding that most parts (Suspension) don't fit from 2007-2011. Looks like I will be laying down some money for full coil's. Dang!

Looks like a header and down pipe combo with 2.5 cat back dose pretty well on these cars. I'll have to look into that as well.

If anyone has any good info on this car please post! I just came from a Cube so...............

She for sure needs a drop but all you can buy for this car is full coilovers so it will have to wait. Overall this car is SO much fun to drive!

looks good. It'll look even meaner with a set of custom Bi-Xenon Projectors by Dangeris Lumenation :naughty: I'm thinking gloss black housings and gloss red projectors would set your car apart from all the others :chuckle:

Some updates:
Time to start blacking this baby out!

So I found this stuff on another site I am on. It's called Plastie Dip. It comes in a spray can, it's super easy to remove if you want and all you have to do is clean the plastic before you put it on. A lot of people are using it and said it last for ever!

We have a bigger cam. We also get better rods and pistons, but it's the cam that is makeing the diff.

Cburke what makes you think that the 2012 is different from the 2011 and theres no suspension upgrades available other than coils? just curious

i also cant find on courtesyparts.com the oem Spec V trunk brace. im just curious how much that thing costs. since my seats dont fold down anyways i may fab my own braces in the trunk and not spec v style either

can you post a pic of your engine bay. i want to see the difference vs my SE-R and if you do make a bar post it too. i may look into fabbing one for my car too. either that or reinforcing the cowl like your Spec V already has.

Well looking up anything for the 2012 there just seem to be no springs. But it's fine I am going with a full coil over anyway.

Here is a pic of the bay:
Here you can see everything I am running into with making a strut bar.

May have to lead it out somehow and work it around that way.
I am doing a CAD design first so I'll post that when I am done.

I don't think that trunk brace does much so I will look into something else. The lower back really don't look much different than the CUBE did so I think I can build the lower sway bar and mount it just like the CUBE.

We will see. I still need to get a welder anyway and I am also looking at a plasma table....YEAH BUDDY!

The 2007-2012 all use the same springs.

websites often dont update their info so it will say only til 2011 when it will fit the 2012. 2007 to 2012 sentras are physically the same. so 2011 springs will fit no problem

i think the design of the engine bay wont benefit from or fit a STB. you are not gonna change ur intake?

i really like the silence of the stock intake but i want to open up the flow of the intake system with an INJEN cold air. shouldnt be too noise especially compared to a SRI like the K&N one

Yeah I would have to either way with a strut bar. I am going with the cold air from Injen.

Getting it here. Best price I found so far but you will have to e-mail him for it. Not on his site.

i just did some inspecting of my engine bay and i noticed two things. one, i dont see ANY way to get a STB in the car. the a/c lines are definitely in the way and the engine is just to high in the bay as well to clear any bar. and two, i removed the plumbing of intake from the box to the rad support and i dont see how the INJEN CAI is gonna fit. it cant go down behind the radiator and under the frame, OR down where the extra airbox is in the fender area behind the bumper. theres no clearance for any size tubing to fit down and turn to go under the frame and the hole for the extra air box is too small. im wondering if there were some design changes causing there to be all these pipes running behind the radiator in the 2010+ models. if the pipes werent there the intake could make it i think. i really dont want the WAI K&N setup. i have pic below. those hoses and lines are in the way . the opening for where the intake has to go is in the middle of the top of the pic

It fits.....There are a tone of people with this on this site: Just go on the forms.
http://allsentrastore.com/index.php?ind ... 565a67770b
I do know you have to take the bumper off to put it on.

I have also found a way to do the strut bar. There is just enough room to tuck it. You may have to push the A/C lines down just a little but other then that it will be good. Worked up the design yesterday and will put it in my CAD as soon as I have time.

the forums dont work
http://allsentrastore.com/forum.php?for ... 565a67770b

whats different on the spec v vs the ser why they each have their own intakes? i gotta look again but i dont see it fitting without squeezing the silicon tubing flat. i know i may have to move and or readjust the location of the ECU though.

the cars front end actually handles really good without the bar. i may just never put one in even though i ALWAYS put one in all my cars. we will see down the road its not a biggie for me right now

Yep that is the site. I know I seen his.....Not that impressed but they work. Mine will be laser or plasma table cut but using Heim joints to connect and powder coated. No they will not go for $110 but they will be better made.

I'm not knocking the guy at all, he did a great job finding out how to make one.
