Just painted my valve cover...

I used 2 coats of primer, 4 coats of 500 degree black gloss engine enamel, and 3 coats of clearcoat to make it shine!

:ylsuper Nice, looks like you did a good job. Let us know how it holds up. You should do something with all the print on the valve cover (polish it, paint it a diff. color, etc.), that might look nice.

Hehe a little off topic but i hit 122 in my 89. Got to love the no limiter auto! It gets a little jumpy around there soo i slowed her down, plus i saw deer off in the feilds. I WILL NOT HIT ANYMORE DEER!!..................

haha, deer would suck to hit...Georgia is lucky cause the deer are small here. but i know up north they can get HUGE.

dang, that car is clean dude. very sweet. i'm also loving the valve cover. i would like to do mine, but i don't really know what color i should do it in. the intake hoses are red, but the car is blue/green, so i don't know what to do. i have silver calipers, which looks great, but the valve cover is already silver so why paint it silver if it already is? i dunno, we'll see what happens. did you replace the valve cover gasket when you put the cover back on? or did it come off easy and not tear or anything?
