Just making a random post of finally dropping 7 bills in ordering a Stillen exhaust for my A/C.

It seems as they're having some sort of sale on it I guess,
so I'm jumping on it now since I missed out on that free intake deal

Shoot a Stillen rep a PM and see if they can hook you up or something for the intake. The deal couldn't have ended that long ago

Yes email Blake, he is the NICO rep for Stillen. He is in and out of the forum every so often, maybe he can hook it up.

more like a $50 difference. You're gonna end up paying $230+ for a K&N

There is still the restriction of the factory airbox you have.

^That. No reason to spend $45 or so for a K&N drop in when you can get an OEM for $15 or so and they will do the exact same thing. But, if you are giving away money Ill take some.

Unless hes talking about replacing the box with the cone filter. But thats like replacing your exhaust tips.

Replacing the entire box with just a cone filter connected directly the throttle body would also delete the MAF sensor and well...yeah that is just silly and will not work.

nah just replacing filter with K&N. i was told it has a slightly increased air flow while maintaining close to OEM filtration. plus its washable

a full intake would lose a lot of that filtration. not sure about u guys but we get a lot of dust in AZ, not a chance i'm willing to take on my engine.

*edit* I'll check with the stillen online rep for the price though. if its not too much out of my pocket then i'll probably consider it.
Just read up on the intake that they were giving away "free" (not really since they increase the overall price to get said free intake,)
that it does come with a K&N filter on it.

I'm sure even if you live in Minnesota you're filter will be just as dirty as living out in AZ. I live in L.A, talk about dirty. s*** in the air, s*** on the ground. Granted we dont have loose soil as I would imagine AZ would on their roads. Bottom line, you're air filter is way up in the engine bay, its unlikely anything will get sucked into the filter unless you drive through one of your dust storms ;)

As for airflow, a full intake, surprisingly on these cars, actually benefits the full airflow power. You're still restricting airflow with the airflow box and air duct. What I did before I got my intake was remove the air duct, just so more air would get inside. Didn't do anything really lol
