I just ordered my S13 blacktop from HT 2 days ago. Luckily they had one in stock, so I should recieve it in a week or so.

I already have intake, downpipe, exhaust, front mount, and fuel pump waiting, but what I wasn't sure about is if a blow off valve is absolutely necessary for the swap?

Thanks in advance guys.

Zack

It should come with a stock blow-off valve, you do not need an aftermarket unit.

If he's going FMIC won't he need to remount the stock BOV on his FMIC hot pipe anyway? Might as well upgrade while you're doing the swap. Most people I've found either run HKS or Blitz, but it's really just a matter of preference.

If you have a fmic you will need to get an aftermarket one to install in the ic piping for the fmic. you will no longer be using the stock piping and stock ic so it will not be on there. I have a jdm prof "sheepdog" bov I love to death and bought off ebay. If you are spending 4000 on a swap whats 75 bucks for a bov?

Thats what I wasn't sure about, whether or not I would need one with the front mount. Thanks for the input, looks like i'll be ordering one right now (everything I have right now is Blitz, so I will be going blitz with the blow off valve as well.)

Thanks for the input guys.Zack
