Planning a rebuild on my CA, because I plan on turning up the boost on the S15 T28 and more so because my head bolts stretched and im leaking coolant on the exhaust side of the motor.

Well heres what I bought:Full Gasket SetHigh Performance Main and Rod Bearings, got them Std. size (hope this is correct)Piston Rings Std. sizeFreeze PlugsARP Head Bolts

all for under 400 shipped.

Question should I go bigger on ring size and bearing size, or is standard fine. Secondly I ordered an ARP head bolt set and they sent me the Main stud Kit, so they said I could send it back for a refund. If I am going to rebuild it, should I keep the Main stud kit as well and use them.

What about the rod bolts, will the stock ones be fne to use again? Or should I order some new ones?

sounds good to me. i wouldnt bother with oversize stuff unless you are going to have to bore it out for some reason.

i cant remember, but werent people using main stud kits from the sr for the head bolts on the ca? its been awhile....

by the way, the main studs can be reused. no sense in replacing them unless you stretched them too.

thanks for the info, on the main studs they are listed as the same part number for main studs for the SR20, but theres a post here from hybrid-performance, that has a different part number listed for the head bolts for the ca. I will send the main studs back and get my 90 bucks back.

The SR20 main studs are what we use for head studs. That's what I have and they work fine. As for the bearings, you shouldn't order the bearings until a machine shop has a chance to inspect the crank. If the crank needs to be machined, you will need to order the oversized bearings. No need to replace the rod bolts or main bolts unless that is the determining factor of your crank being messed up (if it is).
