I had to take off an exhaust off my friends coupe the other day. It was in the junkyard, we had wind hitting us from all corners. Couldn't feel my hands for 2 hours after.

Take the car to a garage if you want the install done sooner rather than later.

You're referring to back pressure, and your fuel economy after you install your y-pipe will really depend on how you drive.

Cool, cool. It doesn't take long for them to do it. Unbolt the old part and bolt on the new part.

That's great man! And now I'm going to have to burst your bubble:

I had an RL y-pipe, and 2.5" catback exhaust. I went up against another stock 3.5 coupe and we were both even. If I stepped on it first, I kept taking the lead. If he stepped on it first, I'd just barely catch up after 80mph. Both CVT, but there was no real difference.

Sound wise, yes, all these bolt ons definitely do let you play with it and find what sounds good to you. My car ended up with a Borla rear section exhaust + custom 2.5" catback and y-pipe. Sounded great. Now that you have the y-pipe, the car really needs a good exhaust/muffler swap to really make it sound good. I found that with stock muffler + y-pipe, it sounded like like a castrated lion hehe...

Castrated lion, hahaha. Ah, dat was funny.

But yeah, pipe and borla rear section def make a nice sound. Stock sound is doo doo. Prob do full cat exhaust when i look into turbo and stuff.

I need to drop it next, it's sittin tall like a giraffe right now, haha.
