i did search, im going to go with the taking hose's off ps pump and rez to remove all fluids from the system.

2 quesitons actually..

1 im assuming i have the engine running while draining all the fluid out correct?

2 the reason im chaning the fluid is i have alot of water in system from the dohc switch, and i heard that atf is better for ps system, so its just conincedential to change it to atf while removing water.

Yeah, use ATF fluid in the system.

You should try to change the PS fluid while the engine is running but try to avoid draining it too low in the resovoir, or it will get more air bubbles in the system. Very easy to get the bubbles out just by turning the wheel left and right while the engine is on and leaving it at lock to lock for about a second or two. This process is also called bleeding the PS system.

yes i forgot to mention that i read about the lock to lock way to get rid of bubbles, but i read to leave it for 5 secs...but anywho yes i read that.

as far as getting the fluid out, before i try it, what about taking off the hose that comes from pump to rez and placing it into a bucket. while the engine is running the fluid would be draining out, i could put fluid into the rez. so therefore anything draining out would possibly be replaced while im pouring in??

has anyone tried this, if i dont have any response's about this then ill be trying it this weekend.
