Hey guys, I was doing an SR swap and I have no idea were my main ground is at this point. It dissapeared in the mess.

My question is were does the ground wire need to connect because Im gonna see about getting a new one from AutoZone or something.

Also, Ive read over the Auto- Manual swap thread but I dont get the part about doing a jumper with the neutral position thing.

Sorry for the newb questions.

I dont know of the Neutral switch ordeal. But, If you bypass the neutral sensor IE hardwire it. Should make no difference.

Are you referring to the ground from the Intake manifold to the battery tray to the battery terminal?

if you go to your fuse box, dirrectly underneath it is a connector with just 2 wires in it. take those, i beleive they are white/black and black, not 100% sure but they are noticeably thicker than most of the wires around there, and crimp them together. i used a yellow butt connector for that.

also the normal chassis ground is located on the side of the battery tray. from there, the other half of the ground connects to the engine.

U don't need the neutral or 5th gear sensors. Get the fsm for your 240 off ka24detdvd.org. Look up the inhibitor switch under the auto trans section pg. 68 for a '91. Use the large diagram on the top right and the 4th picture down on the left. There is a two plug connector coming off of the trans harness the wires are heavy gauge dont confuse this with the plug going to the alternator/starter they look very similar. Cut the plug off of the trans harnessleaving about 3-4 inches of wire. Strip a small amount of insulation and solder the two wires together being sure to use heat shrink. The connector then gets plugged into the engine bay by the relay box, its the bottom plug. There is another connector on the trans harness, it has 7 wires and is grey. To wire your reverse lights, the reverse sensor on the sr transmission(the one closest to the bell housing) gets connected to terminals 3 and 5 on the grey plug order doesn't matter it just completes the circuit. Terminal 4 gets spliced into terminal 3 to make the car think its in park. So there will be two wires going to terminal three, one from the reverse sensor and the one from terminal 4. Again use solder and heat shrink. Also coming off the ka lower harness is a grey 4 plug connector. Remove this from the ka without cutting it. The other end leads to the alternator/starter, oil sensor, and speed sensor. This just plugs onto the sr. Or what I did was cut the white/red wire from the alternator plug and i soldered it onto the sr's alternator plug. Then I pluged the ka's oil sensor onto the sr(behind the oil filter) and the speed sensor plugs in also. Sorry i don't have pics and i forget the wire colors but the fsm does tell you what u need if u take the time to looks through it. As far as ur main ground theres a screw hole at the bottom of your first intake runner where it goes. Again this is useful for a s13 blacktop going into a '91 auto.
