Ok, so I'm getting ready to get off of work, when one of the guys there asks if I want to race his buddies Integra... I say sure, why not. At first he wanted to put $100 on it, but I haven't raced for cash in a LONG time, and I lost a lot when I did.
He tells me its a '94 Integra GSR with headers, exhaust, and intake, nothing else. I figure what the hell lets go, so we get off work, meet up, and cruise down the interstate. 3 of the guys from work are there in their cars to chase, and one more guy is in his SRT-4 to be the lead car. We get out on the interstate, and slow to about 20mph 3 wide. But being the idiot I am, I leave it in second, not realizing that I realllly need first here. The integra honks 3 and we're off... they both LEFT ME SITTING STILL. So I felt pretty damned stupid about it, we all met up, and there was laughter, then smiles and blah blah blah.
Needless to say, I still have to do some work on the Q, considering that for the first time since I had the exhaust work done, I really took a good look, and found out the shop used 1 3/4" outside diameter piping. I definately need to hurry up and get paid so I can get plugs. We got the belts on yesterday in about 30 mins though, so belts are taken care of, alternator is taken care of, and fuel filter is done. Still need plugs... most likely fuel pump soon also.
Just lost a race.
