I guess the nice thing about leasing is that it'll be under warranty. My wife has been driving a kia the last 3 years. While it's been a good vehicle, I can't imagine nissan's customer service being much worse than kia. Who knows though.outtolearn88 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 06, 2017 6:58 amThe vehicle I can live with BUT...... The way of NISSAN always it's not there fault of doing business. You will see there way of giving service... Hope you don't need a GPS or head unite Up Date or any other updates. Definitely it's not NISSAN strong point serving it's clients. My first and LAST NISSAN ! I know I'm not the only one who thinks this about NISSAN. Just do some reading on this great forums, lots of good people on here. They can't all be wrong ?
Enjoy your ROGUE while it's problem free. Hoping you won't need much service.
Thanks for your input. This will be my wife's primary vehicle, but I will also use it when needed. I currently have a 17 camry, but will use the rogue when I need the extra space.sprocket wrote: ↑Sun Aug 06, 2017 7:04 pmSteptide, I currently drive a 2017 SV with premium package as well with AWD, it's a good car.
The powertrain is ample for the segment. It has enough power to zip around town, merge on to freeways, etc and does a decent job doing so while giving you good fuel economy. If you were happy with it during your test drive, that's all that matters.
I've been leasing Rogues since 2008, and have driven almost every model year. The 2017 powertrain is noticeably nicer than 2016 and prior. The styling refresh is well executed IMHO. The 2017s also have improved NVH.
I cannot comment much on the factory navigation because I'm a 100% Waze user, but have no issues with my 2017 Rogue or all the previous Rogues I've leased going back almost 9 years now. Absolutely love all the features in my 2017.
Enjoy.
can you elaborate? Which part of drivetrain in 2017 is nicer than 2016? As long as i know drivertrains didnt change in 2017 from 2016. rogue has same engine and transmission. 2017 has few exterior and interior changes onlysprocket wrote: ↑Sun Aug 06, 2017 7:04 pmSteptide, I currently drive a 2017 SV with premium package as well with AWD, it's a good car.

I can't speak for him or her but maybe what they meant was that the shifting is smoother. In other words they might have updated the CVT programming for the 2017's. I have a 17 SV.slimsol wrote: ↑Tue Aug 08, 2017 3:58 pmcan you elaborate? Which part of drivetrain in 2017 is nicer than 2016? We've had our 17 rogue for 2 weeks now. You get alot of car for the price. I looked at some other crossovers like yourself and the rogue sv(with the premium package) just gave us the most bang for the buck. I also did research and read alot of reviews on the terrible cvt. Honestly it doesn't bother me all that much. The power is ample, but future models could definitely use a bit more. If you end up buying the rogue I think you'll be pleasedkleduc1 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 21, 2017 3:47 amThanks to everyone in this forum for their input. I am looking into buying a '17 Rogue SV and have become overwhelmed with all of the pros and cons. My '17 Kia Niro (5 mos old 10k mi) is defective and it has been so frustating dealing with Kia and the dealership that I have become OCD reading and watching reviews and forums. I have a few more weeks until the buyback is finalized, so... some more looking around. I have test driven a Cherokee, Renegade, Sportage, CRV, Forester, Impreza, and Crosstrek so far. This will be my commuter (20k mi/yr) in the western mountains of Maine.
The Rogue seems to meet all of my needs, but I have no experience with the CVT. I am fine with whatever power it provides- my wife's 4cyl Journey (3rd row) is probably equal to it. I am very impressed with the Rogue's comfort of seats and quality of ride, spaciousness, looks great, mpg, and the discount/incentives. I need reliability.
Think I could get 120k miles out of the Rogue (with proper maintenance) without major repairs? This would be the length of the loan.
Thanks again for all of your help!!
You can lease with any credit. The worse it is the more interest you'll pay. You don't pay interest on a lease, so if you're credit is let's say 650, you'll probably fall into tier 2 and that could up your monthly payment. A score of 700 or more should get you tier 1 and no interest
