My names Cody and i just bought a '90 300ZX TT Fairlady Z. Only 42,000 kms and it was only $7000...love it so far. Spent all day yesterday cleaning, clay barred, and waxed it. Today i pulled the dash, console and some interior apart, and removed all the ricer under dash lights and speaker cables. Pulled the transmission out the other day as well and did the rear main seal, machined the flywheel, and put in a new stock clutch, pressure plate, pilot bushing, and release bearing. Have a new hanger bearing for the drive-shaft coming tomorrow to cure the drive-shaft vibration and noise in 1st gear. Looking at getting a full turbo back exhaust but just need to do some more reading and research to make sure i get what i really want. Valve cover gaskets and replacement for the broken O2 sensor in the left catalyst are coming tomorrow too. Anyone with some info on where to get some new black trim pieces for around the windshield and T-tops?

Nice ride! And nice job getting her into shape!

For the trim, I know czp carries oem molding. Do a search ther for "300zx molding". It comes up with single pieces and kits! http://www.conceptzperformance.com

Welcome to Nico! And post some more pics

Very nice looking Z, welcome!
Z1 also carries trim pieces and many other items, it's worth shopping back and forth with CZP for these types of things:

Very, very proper work. It's great to have electrical knowledge when you tear into this vehicle. Almost imperative, I'd say. Also looks like you've got access to a decent shop. Looks a lot like the shop on base here in Lemoore.

Beautiful work. Bravo.

I'm a tech a Comox Valley Nissan in B.C. So I'm lucky to have a place to jump in balls deep if I need to. Hoists make life so much easier.

Man you could eat off that thing, not that I would consider it but it's really clean.

Speaking of beauties, H1tman, I think I was still on deployment when you got here. Your Azure blue paint is a tie for 2nd on my favorite paint code the Z32 was offered in. So, a belated welcome to you as well.

DPM, actually, Deep Purple Metallic. Black is too blah, but it still looks good on it.

Deep purple metallic is by far my favorite, and 2nd place is Black Emerald (as seen on my 2+2,) and Azure Blue, just because I've seen one in person, and you really can't comprehend the color until you see it in person.
