Well guys, I just wanted to say hey cause I don't know most of you since I hang out in 240 gen most of the time.

Well... I just bought a CA last friday. Had to go down to Alabama to pick her up and stuff her into a volvo station wagon, but oh was it worth it. She's fully rebuilt with new gaskets, bearings, water pump, valve seals, and oil pump. Came with a ssac manifold, cosmetic headgasket, throttle reducer pulley, dohc p/s lines and pump, new injectors, coil packs, ka transmission with ca bellhousing, new clutch and pressure plate, resurfaced flywheel, wiring harness freshly taken out of a 240 with this CA (so all i have to do is plug everything in), ecu, and he tossed in a z32 maf which was already wired into the harness for free. All I have to do is put her back together. Got her for 500 picked up.

I've already ordered quite a few parts, and will be ordering some more soon.

Already ordered:

Sr t253" downpipeDOHC gauge clusterO2 pipedsm bov2 Gauge pillar pod

Ordering soon:

Walbro 255LPHBoost gaugeOil pressure gaugeSSAC s14 sr i/c kit (once they come back.. they've disappeared again )Greddy tt w/ harness14" Electric fan

Here are a few pics of my new project..

Anyways.. I'm just bored sitting at home and thought I'd introduce myself to the ca community here.

Aaron actually showed me the classifieds thread for it.. I owe him one major

And to tell you the truth... I almost did send an email your way I met up with the guy (from the "Z-place") in a little town called Fort Payne.

I've heard quite a few theories on breaking in engines.. so I'm still kidna in the dark as to which method I'm going to do. But I'm leaning towards the no revving above 3500 and staying out of constant rpm for about 500 miles

you didnt get the engine from C did you? im just curious, because i dont know of anyone else with a CA over there. fort payne is ridiculous. what did you think of the place? uuber hole in the wall?

"varying RPM, no more than 2/3 of maximum permissable speed in any gear. no full throttle or kick down." - proper break in proceedure for our 89 bmw 325i. its made it 220k miles, so it cant be wrong. still, as soon as mine fired up i put it in gear and did a 0-60 run.

No I got the engine from O. . Lol i have no idea who you're talking about bro. He lives in Alltell (sp?), we just met up in Fort Payne. And I must say... WOW.. Fort Payne... just.. WOW How far away from there are you btw?

Sweet thanks for the proper break in specs

I bought the i/c off of ebay. The store was CXracing. Very quick shipping and the i/c, hoses and such are in great condition. I'd def. recommend them Cheap too.

To be honest with you, neither had I. But it got down to where I needed an fmic kit, and SSAC was still gone. So i gathered up all the S14 sr kits in multiple tabs, and started eliminating one by one by price, quality as seen from pics, and installation parts pictured. I narrowed it down to this one, clicked buy it now, and prayed. My luck didn't fail me this time lol.

So onto the install: The cold side lined up and bolted together perfectly...but as i got to the hot side.. ruh roh! I never expected it to be perfect fitment, so I can't complain too much. I got it to where it lined up and everything.. but it looked oddSo i eyeball it from further than 1 foot away and notice that the pipe is higher than the throttle body...no chance in hell of closing the hoodThe hotpipe piece between the turbo elbow and other section obviously needed to be shorter. I also ended up using two connectors from my extra smic piping and an smic pipe to make it straighter and easier. Doesn't look the best i guess, but I think it looks fine, and it should perform great regardless.

Anyways.. here's some pics for ya
