ive already searched for topics relating to this...couldnt find anyne who...i installed some 90 Z32 calipers/rotors (front rotors were turned before install) and earls braided lines up front on my S13 over the weekend...ever since ive been getting this lovely buzz noise from my cluster fuse in my fuse box and the stupid "brake" light itself in the cluster has been flashing on and off with the buzz noise (and the battery light dimly lights up as well)...now...i have done the following already

1) replaced the pads on both front and rear calipers2) adjusted the ebrake accordingly (it was out of adjustment before)3) bled all 4 brake lines TWICE4) checked the brake fluid resivoir and made sure it was to the max fill line...it is5) battery is BRAND NEW

now this problem ONLY started happening after i did the front brakes/front brake lines...i installed the rear pads a few days later...it was NOT doing this when the stock front calipers and worn out pads were on the car

a few people i know were saying it might be a faulty resivoir sensor...however...it was not doing this before the install...and its driving me nuts...im thinkin bout just pulling the bulb out from behind the "brake" light in the cluster as this buzzing problem has happenend with a few friends cars with various bulbs behind things in their cluster (i have a HUD cluster if that makes any difference)..they pulled the bulbs and it stopped...i know the brake light will come on if the rear pads are extremely low and the car goes into a hard turn...but theres brand new pads back there (and it didnt do it on the stock pads) and i dont see why it would be pulling this

so yah...HELP lol

your alternator is on its way out. the brake + battery light + buzzing = alternator going kaput.

that doesnt make sense...how would the alterantor start having problems after i replace the calipers and rotors?

my SR only has about 60k miles on it...and an alternator is a pretty uncommon part to go "kaput"

not being argumentative...just dont understand your reason behind the answer

btw...it only seems to happen when the car is driving over rough surfaces on the street (and with FLTA-2s...its very easy to get vibration thru the chassis)

look up "battery light and brake light" and you should see your answer. It's an unrelated problem. It's not necessarily the miles on the alternator, but also age that can do it.

im new here, but an obvious solution could be that a wiring harness is loose, or your battery cables are loose. Good luck

I have two HUD clusters and never heard the alarm "buzz" you are reffering to when the brake light is on....??.. Uhmmm....anyway I would concentrate on the brake system (sensors, etc) because like you said is kind of funny that the problem started right after doing the brake upgrade.....
