i just installed my s-afc to get my z32 maf to work in my red-top sr20det. it idles fine and runs good. i have a couple questions...

is the s-afc always suppose to be on? even with my car off the s-afc disaplay is still on...i can go through the menus as well. i bought this unit used off ebay so am curious to see if its defective and mightve been sold because it doesnt turn off.

all i have changed settings wise is the 2 in and 6 out to get it to run. i have not corrrected any air flow % at any RPMs. i was wondering if the 2 in and 6 out setup is generally efficient enough. does that setup run a lil rich to be on the safe side by default? is there any standard corrections people use if they know the 2 in and 6 out setup runs too rich or too lean at certain RPMs? (i have stock injectors, FMIC, z32 MAF, z32 fuel pump, HKS intake, turbo extension, downpipe, full exhaust, no cat)

i know getting it dynoed with a wideband and EGT is probably the best way to tune it... but i just want a quick, safe and easy tune since i just got it installed and don't have the money and time to get it dynoed anytime soon.

If you dont touch any of the fuel settings, then nothing in the ECU will be changed. The 2 in 6 out should make the ECU think that the Z32 MAFS is an SR MAFS and shouldnt affect anything regarding fuel tuning.

If it stays on even when the car is off, then you may have spliced the wrong wire. Someone else I know accidently spliced the 1st injector signal wire as the power wire and it stayed on all the time. If you properly splice the ignition signal wire, the SAFC should stay on when the key is at ignition (which is when the car is either on or about to start) and while a turbo timer is on.
