Just finished installing my dual electric fans and all I can say is WHAT A DIFFERENCE! The fans only need a few seconds to blow out all the hot air! My engine response is better. Now I gotta run the car hard to really test those babies out :D

I've been on electric fans for about 6 months. I haven't had a problem yet... and yeah.... the throttle response is like night and day. It doesn't help acceleration MUCH... but it does help. We had a couple days in the high 90's this summer, and in stop and go traffic I never had a problem... temp stayed exactly where it should be.

Did you order your fans offline? How hard is it to mount them? Pushers or pullers(i'm assuming pullers)...I want to do the duals as pullers and then replace the front one with a pusher-

Hey man, give us some details. I've always heard such good things about electric fans. Where'd you buy 'em from? How much?

well after a day of driving about 250 miles in hot weather, I all I can say is that these babies ROCK. Best mod you can do for your car. Engine response is a LOT quicker, and my engine bay is hella lot cooler - I can stick my hand in where the old fan used to be and it'll feel about 10 degrees warmer than ambient temperature.

Mine... twin 10" electric fans, made by FAL (flex-a-lite), $230, sold a NAPA auto parts... or any major auto part store.

tres easy to install! Remove ther stock clutch fan assembly. Remove the fan shroud. Remove stock electric fan. Install with universal mounting hardware. Splice into wiring for stock electric fan, or wire yourself with supplied thermostat, or relay and remote switch in passanger compartment.

ah-ha! A French Canadian in disguise. I knew something wasn't right about you.

Well... it was partly meant for blinks to recognize and understand. I must admit, however, I am 1/4 French Canadian... and I love my little Grandmother and her fiery demeanor.

Wussup with all of you guys making fun of Canadians? Just because we are a superior country and have faster cars than they do, doesn't mean we need to make fun of them. Hehehehe

Actually I'm from a part of Vermont that is much closer to Canada than where I presently reside in Maine. But this area is FLOODED with Canadian imports!!! They all moved here for Maine's bustling shoe industry! Now there are no more shoe companies... so they all sit around being French all damn day!!!

BTW..... guys, I'm on the front lines here.....still waiting for reinforcements before we advance!!!!

240 seems kinda steep. I always liked there being a switch so you can turn it on when the AC is on, and off when you're on the freeway and the AC is on. I'm not sure how the stock Relay works though.

Wouldn't it work to just wire them to an ignition power?

Did you keep the "cowl" that covered the original fan on the car or did you have to remove it for the install?i am getting a job at NAPA auto and i think they sell them.I am so tired of the sluggishness that this hot southern summer heat induces on my engine.Dual fans here i come!Oh, What particualr model of flexalite fans did you get?i have read some arguments on different models becuase of thier different flow capacities?

I removed everything in front of the engine including the fan itself, the metal piece it attaches to (not the pulley, but round heatsink look a like), the shroud, the inner electric fan, and the wiring. The ones I got were the flexalite dual 12's and they were a tight fit. I would recommend getting dual 10s just because they will fit better and look nicer. The 10s will do just as nice as the 12s.

i did two 12 inch electric fans with an adjustable thermo switch, and also wired an override switch in the car...so far so good, that mechanical fan was a drag...

i need a favor however, can anyone take pics or have pics of there temp gauge when the car has been on for awhile, or normal running temperature....i think mine sits a little higher then what it should be...thanks if u can...

I dunno where your temp gauge sits, but on my car after it warms up, the gauge sits dead just a little above the half mark. It seems like its 2/3 up the bar, but if you take a close look, its just about halfway.
