just installed my Apex N1 Dual Exhaust

I just installed my exhaust but there's this like burning smell or something is it that its wearing in or did I mess something up. Well hopefully someone can help thanks!

Where is the smell coming from? it could just be part of the coating burning off the exhaust.

i think it may be just wearing in, cuz when my boy installed his N1 it had a smell for a while

Mine did too. But my pan leaks oil onto the exhaust so there is always a slight oil burning smell to my car. So I dunno..

that burn smell would be your exhaust gasket if I remember right.

thanks I was kinda trippin about it cuz I always mess things up but now I know. Also, it the exhaust suppose to make noise on neutral, and is it suppose to get louder as I rev my rpms higher cuz it dont seem to do that, sorry newbie about my exhaust.

Yea, higher the RPM's the louder it will be.

my dual N1s are loudest 2.5K to 3.5k

IF you get a rotten egg smell you need to replace your catalytic converter (thats what happened to me)

hey man hows the dual n1s sound from inside the car? Ive never been in a car with them... are they so loud you gotta up the stereo to drown them out or what? explain if you can!

well, i like my car light so i refuse to put any more dynomat in it, so sometimes you got to pump up the stereo a little but thats usually only for highway driving.

its not too bad IMO..... but for someone who like music quality or a quiet ride this is not the exaust for you...

of course this might change when i get my sr, i've heard that a trubo muffles the exaust sound even more...

new exhaust has a coating that will burn off and cause a smell the first few times the pipes get hot. You shouldnt smell anything after a week or so
