Just curious to know how many guns you have? I have a bunch myself between me and my kid (21).

Nice collection.

I quit counting my collection the other day when I realized that I got to 14 handguns and that didn't include my kid's guns that he paid for.

I still have 10 AK47 class guns to build.

My son has a Taurus Gaucho in 357mag. Nice gun and feels really nice in the hand.

I bet you could save that Brazilian singleshot by a good cleaning and rebluing or even duracoating it.

He loves it. Very nice shooter. No problems with it either.

I prefer the Ruger series of single actions only because I enjoy shooting huge hot loads and the Blackhawks and the older Vaqueros can handle them. But the Rugers aren't a Colt SAA copy whereas the Gaucho is.

I like the Gaucho because it has a real 4 click action which is just like the old ones.

dude...internally, the Gaucho is way different from an SAA.

it uses coil springs instead of leaf...transfer bar...there's more to it.

I wanna get one because I don't have to keep the hammer on an empty chamber.

Oh I know its different internally. I just like the Gaucho because it ACTS like the old SAA Colts. The Rugers don't which is a bit of a disappointment (I have 3 Ruger single actions).

Coil springs are better than leaf springs.

I also like the transfer bar as well so that you don't need to keep hammer on the empty chamber.

Yup. Its SASS legal. Its a copy so its all good.

Heck, even my Blackhawks are SASS legal (adjustable sights and all) except that I could only participate in the Modern category.

I just bought my SASS shotgun 2 days ago from http://www.aimsurplus.com . They had Winchester 97 replicas by Norinco for 199. They normally go for around 320-350 new so I jumped on the deal.

So I now have all the guns I need for SASS. I'm thinking of trying it out this summer.

I only own 3, and two were bought before I could drive.

Ruger MkII pistol .22 competition modelRuger 10/22 (bought around 12y/o)Chinese SKS (bought around 14y/o)

Though, I used to live with my parents with 20+ guns in the house.3 or 4 .30-06's.300mag22-2502, 10ga's.44mag.380And those are the one's that are out that he uses. The others he hasn't shot in years, so I can't even remember what the rest are. I just remember adding it up back in middle school (after I bought my two rifles) and we were in the 20's.

But the question is not how many guns you have, but how you use them. Ever since I moved out of their house, I went from shooting 2-4 times/week to a handful of times/year. I now have to stand still to hit targets. I used to be able to walk and still hit my targets with my pistol. It was good self defense training. I need to start doing it again.

Going to look at a Romanian AK-47 today, I bought the Ruger when I was 14 and almost everything else before I was 16. It's been awhile since I've bought a new gun though.
