Ok so ive been reading and i would like to know how fast the Z is... ive heard that the 90 model is the fastest simply because it has less restrictions(airbags etc.) Therefore anyone know of a reliable site to see the actual times throughout the years...0-60 and 1/4 mile... i always see different numbers....

To my understanding, the only change in power/speed came with the '96 model. They removed the variable cam timing, unofficially dropping the power by 20HP. Will Nissan admit to it? No. But does everyone else agree to it? 99%. 0 - 60 (new) I believe was 5.0 seconds on the TT. 1/4 mile should be somewhere near 16 seconds I think?

The 0-60 is 6.2 seconds, while the Quarter is 13.7. Which is quite fast

Different reviews of the 300zx list different times due to different drivers. I've seen 0-60 as low as 5.0 and up to low 6's, and Quarters between high 13's to high 15's. It's probably safe to assume that the average driver will achieve times right around the middle.

Its less a result of the driver and more a result of the conditions when magazines run tests. Most magazines have accomplished drivers do their tests. All of them can drive in a straight line. Now getting a car to hook up on a dusty airstrip when its 100 out.. thats where the variation comes in to play.

exactly all reviews i have seen on the tt vary but only a little ive seen between 13.7-14.2 standing quarter mile id say its probably about 13.9-14.0 with a good 60 foot.

wow lots of improper numbers here, heh

the 1990 twin turbo (2 seater, 5sp) will do 0-60 around 5.0-5.5 seconds, and the 1/4 mile in 13.7-14.1 with a proper driver.
