just how bad are used parts when........

i am going to be buying a OEM 1997 s14 VLSD for my 1995 s14 and although i havent seen any pics, i was told there are some surface rusts, but the seals are all good and tehre no holes, etc. is the "mild" rust acceptable?? is there a way to get rid of it right quick??

and also i got some used RSR springs and the paint is chipped off and there are rust on it as well, did i get ripped off?? i mean i have no choice i will use them cuz they should be in better condition than my stock ones........and what effect will they have on my stock struts/shocks?

hmm i wonder if the encasing is rusted........if so is taht ok?? as a matter of fact i am going to try to see if the encasing under my car has rust or not!!

but then again, this VLSD is from Canada, and it snows there doesnt it??

it's probably just surface rust that every iron part on a car gets. Not a big deal, really. I wouldn't worry about it. Are you seriously asking if it snows in Canada?????

Um yea, you could say it snows it Canada....Seriously, I wouldn't be too sure about used springs. It depends how long they were on the car, and what the owner did with them. Springs are something I would be careful of, but it's your call. You have them in front of you, so make a judgement call on it.
