Very nice... Im interested to see how the F50s hold up, seems so far they hold up great, but age is what kills cars not miles.

Congrats!! It would be very interesting to see who has the highest mileage F50 on here....

I'm at 71K on an 02 F50, and using it as my daily driver I'll be putting on around 25K per year, so I'll be there too before long

I'm intersted, as I'm sure a lot of other F50 owners are, in what you're experience has been in getting to 100K .... what's broken/been replaced, and what parts seem to be wearing considerably and look like they will need to be replaced soon.

I'm planning on running mine for at least another 100K, and it would be great to know which parts to keep an eye on, and budget for of course!

One of the strange things about the Q45 is that even if I ended up spending a TON of money on maintenace over the next 3 or 4 years, I can not see a situation which would make me want to sell it I think with the depressed used prices of the Q45, especially for us with the higher mileage, the choice would be selling the car for a crazy low price and using the cash to buy something far inferior .... or spending another 'few' thousand to keep riding in luxury ..... AND then knowing that (hopefully) you will not have to fix that particular part again (we'll see if I'm so sure in a couple of years!! )

I have a similar view on the comfort vs value.I pad $20k 2 yrs ago at 40k miles. I plan on running to 200k and spending some money along the way. even if I spend 10k I still feel like I got a bargin. (not counting the pure indulgence of $4k for the IMPUL body kit!!!!! lol ).My plan is to then buy an 06 Very cheap!!!!!! and start all over again. I figure to spend $60K over 8-9 years for a very nice ride!!!!!.

I am not a big fan of "mods" on n engine so I am content with the package that comes with the car.

Seems more like their engines blow up.

VK45s seem to fall into two categories.

Like you and Z, who owns an M45, they can run forever without consuming oil or causing any trouble. In the second category, they fall apart before the warranty is up, sometimes causing all kinds of nasty clattering and tapping before they fail completely. There was a video clip recently posted of a VK45 tapping like mad.

Nissan is starting to get stingy on warranty claims.

Part of the problem is manufacturing consistency, the other is design and engineering shortcuts intended to get more power, but apparently at a price.

I make it sound like the VK45 is Nissan's version of the Northstar. Its not quite as unreliable, but the Cadillac Northstar, with its large aftermarket, is at least repairable and fun to shove into the back of an MR2.

If you've taken good care of your VK after all this time and it hasn't given you trouble, my opinion is that you'll see 200k without any major engine issues.
